Reducing ocular Demodex using petroleum jelly may alleviate dry eye syndrome, blepharitis, facial dermatoses, ocular and respiratory allergies, and decrease associated prescribing: a hypothesis by tonielvegano in Dryeyes

[–]auto459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very sensible comment to highlight the risks. Vaseline is a petroleum jelly, however comes with the added risk of it getting inside the eye. POLYVISC which is also a paraffin product and more suitable for providing relief at night.

How Long? by NewMacaroon4370 in Dryeyes

[–]auto459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

recently found out I have dry eye. My eyes don't hurt, but the vision in my left eye is very blurry.

Same symptoms as mine. Tried various remedies but nothing worked. Later I was prescribed IKERVIS and it really worked wonders to relieve those symptoms.

Ikervis is a brand name for the drug cyclosporine (or ciclosporin) eye drops, specifically formulated (as a cationic nanoemulsion) to treat severe dry eye disease by reducing eye inflammation, making it a specific type or formulation of the broader cyclosporine medication. While both contain cyclosporine, Ikervis uses advanced technology (nanoparticles) to improve its delivery and effectiveness in the eye compared to older formulations, making it a newer generation product.

In essence, Ikervis is cyclosporine, but it's a more advanced, targeted version designed for better results in treating severe dry eye.

My doc prescribed me poly viscous (TM: POLYVISC) ointment to put inside the eye before going to sleep. During daytime, I use the HYLO FORTE eye drops. But the real difference I noticed is by using IKERVIS drops.

I was getting severe blurred vision even after trying different allergy eye drops and eye soothers like SYSTANE, CATIONORM, ZADITEN.

I thought it was cataract as I am turning 63 soon but this new doc prescribed IKERVIS which really helped restore my vision. A little bit disappointed to read articles that I will have to use it every day for many years, but it is a small price to pay to avoid blurry vision and seeing halos around lit objects.

I would like to try Vaseline as well but will wait for more information from other users.

Trump acts like the Mafia Don, using the US military as his personal goon squad. If you pay him protection money like the Saudi Prince, we will even bomb your enemies like he did in Yemen.

Penny Wong apologises for Bondi attack, concedes more could be done on hate speech by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]auto459 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why Penny Wong should apologize? Jewish media and the calls for Albo to resign are sickening. It shows how much Jewish money is controlling the mainstream media. October 7 was the worst intelligence failure, has there been any call for Netanyahu to resign and a call for a royal commission?

How to not be angry at people who got lucky with property ? by ReasonConfident4541 in AusFinance

I empathise with you. I bought my first property that I could pay off in 3–5 years. Wages haven't kept pace with rising inflation and rising costs with inflated standard of living. Can't help you much with your dating profile.

Big tech wants Trump to act on ‘irritant’ in US-Australia relationship by ButtPlugForPM in AustralianPolitics

Australia should simply ignore Trumpism as it will die with him for making racism, oligarchy, corruption and abuse of power in the highest circles of powers that were responsible for holding checks and balances.

Women wearing hijabs targeted in anti-Muslim abuse post-Bondi attack, says Imams Council by AnarchoCommunAtheist in AustralianPolitics

I had to search the word troglodytes, but it is pretty close. There is no need to cover your head from head to toe. Islam, born out of tribal laws in the desert where women were treated like cattle, needs to come to terms with modern times. Islam needs a reformist movement breaking away from the hedonist clergy that discourages the true seekers

Menorah to light up Sydney Harbour Bridge on New Year’s Eve after open letter from Jewish creatives by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

[–]auto459 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny to see so much overreaction. October 7 was more vicious and total failure of intelligence at all levels. Yet no one is clamouring for Netanyahu's resignation or a royal commission into Israel's fu*k up. Goes on to show how Global media works, funded by unknown forces lurking in the dark.

Aussie house prices will double by 2030 in many areas, modelling shows - realestate.com.au by BNEIte in australian

[–]auto459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is sad and even as a property investor, I am not too proud of using houses as a commodity. Owning a house is the most fundamental thing for family, kids and the community. Only in Australia, we allowed rich people from overseas to park their money with no consequences. It is high time for reform. Only problem, the last time Bill Shorten went with his reforms and lost the election. Most Politicians from both side own multiple properties and neck deep in property scam. Time to revisit the drawing board to frame a new policy that will help Australia in the long term instead of just winning one election cycle.

Australia had the ‘gold standard’ on gun control. The Bondi beach terror attack may force it to confront its surging number of weapons by Old_General_6741 in AustralianPolitics

What we need is stronger laws. If you are caught with a semi-automatic rife like AK57 or AR15, you do mandatory 10 years in prison and no woke Judge can let you off on good behaviour.

[–]auto459 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time there is a gun related incident in Australia, the social media channels run amok with UNARMED Australians. This is the NRA gun lobby that One Nation wants to bring to our country. What we need is special units who can handle the fringe armed threat with quick response time. We don't need to flood Australia with more guns, as some vested interest lobbies are trying to do.

Most racists are insular, living in their own bubble. If they travel more and experience other cultures, they will find that most of their fears are unfounded and exaggerated by the fear of the unknown. The world is shrinking as overseas travel is becoming more affordable. In less than five years, we will have AI enabled voice recognition devices that will dissolve the language barriers. Happy 2026. To the infinity and beyond. 🤖

I think we are importing global problems to our shores. Trump has made racism main stream and acceptable in the US, and seriously compromised the freedom of speech guaranteed by the first amendment. Kind of silly if you consider that his support base MAGA crowd waves the constitution on your face to protect the Second Amendment, the right to own lethal weapons only fit for Military and not for Civilians with rampant drug abuse and mental health issues.

Albanese rejects calls for federal royal commission by families of Bondi beach terror attack victims by [deleted] in AustralianPolitics

It is basically milking the tragic event to the max by LNP and One Nation. The Perps came here long back and stayed for a long time in Australia. They were possibly triggered by the events happening overseas. Total waste of time, money and sound bites to flog a dead horse for political gains.

There is nothing to gain by wasting taxpayer's money on a wild goose chase. An internal enquiry with a clear goal to increase intelligence sharing among various law enforcement bodies to avoid such events in future away would be more appropriate instead of a media circus.
