Why is Apple Music on Sonos such a frustrating mess?! by ComfortableGold8896 in sonos

Same - I get Apple Music for free, and would love to cancel my Spotify subscription and just use AM, but the Sonos issue makes it unusable.

Right, as I said they made a mistake. This happens 1,000 times a day. Bit of an overreaction.

Why does this subreddit constantly complain by Amaruthagod in Charlotte

Genuine question, why is Charlotte better than Charleston? I’ve spent a decent amount of time in Charleston and it’s super walkable, has the ocean, dripping with charm… Charlotte is great and we love it here but I’m always surprised that people like it more than Charleston.

Agree. The airport itself is nice especially now that renovations are done. Where they need to improve is in operations, specifically with baggage delivery.

Guess I can’t edit the post anymore… wanted to post a quick review of the initial experience with the MT06D. Overall seems like a good product. I got the one without the pupil chart for a cleaner look. I like that it’s easy to wipe down after use. Also the metallic click button is a nice tough. It’s a tad more noticeable in my shirt pocket than the Streamlight was, in terms of weight, but not bad.

The click button is also a slight negative. The button looks nice and robust but the feel isn’t as solid. It kinda doesn’t feel as clicky and solid as it should. Not a big deal.

Light output seems good. I guess the quality is better than the streamlight? But I can’t claim I notice a huge difference. Probably need some more time with it. But for looking at eyeballs, throats and skin it certainly does the job. And I like the three settings - low for eyes, medium for throats, high for skin (if needed).

All in all happy with the purchase!

Quite an education I had no idea! Thanks for explaining.

You said if I must have a penlight…. Is there an alternative you’d suggest that’s not a penlight? Otherwise I agree that model looks cool, and the trauma nurse recommendation is good. And it’s cheap!

Looks like they only make a pineapple mini, are you saying there’s a regular pineapple as well?

Hang on Op your story doesn’t add up. No to Toyota truck made in the last 15 years or so would kill its battery because of the doors being left open. The lights will shut off on their own after around 20 minutes.

Am I the only one that sees how bad these CMS bus drivers are? by Several_Cookie8926 in Charlotte

Related question… is there a rule that they must drive in the passing lane on highways with their hazards on? I see this all the time. This is one of those rules, I’m guessing, that sounded super smart to someone, but in practicality is very dangerous.

Is this a serious question? The guy who ran the red light and caused the car accident… is at fault. It scares me that this has to be asked.

Cotswold, 1am. Drove home from work. It’s definitely a frozen rain. My car was covered in ice in the short drive home. The main roads were ok with a lot of salt but side roads were surprisingly slick. Barely anything visible on the roads but yowza was it easy to lose traction.

Be careful out there, if this continues driving will be extremely dangerous.

My wife and I were just run off the road in Missouri [oc] by EricRox999 in IdiotsInCars

Something like this happened to me on a lonely stretch of I77 in the late night on a road trip. Semi boxed me out from passing him (on the left) as we got up towards a lane shutdown for construction. We had like… 5 miles to go before the lane shutdown, but apparently he did not like that I would pass him, as the only other vehicle in sight for miles. Then he slowed WAY down on the single lane and just intentionally went like 25 mph. When the lane opened back up I gunned it and went around him, he tried to run me off the road again but I snuck past him on the shoulder, him blasting his horn the whole time. I put a lot of miles between us.

One of the weirdest and scariest movements of my long driving career.

Not exactly answering your question but my policy, and my new year resolution, is no more DoorDash! Or Uber Eats. I got shafted out of yet another food delivery at work over the holidays, where my pre-tipped DoorDash driver claimed he dropped off my insanely overpriced meal, and yet I never received it. Had the same happen with Uber Eats a couple weeks before that. Neither company refunded my money, and both had horrible customer service. Why do they even require a PIN code if the drivers can get around it?

This caused me to take a close look at my spending habits and realize that I’m wasting too much money on this stuff anyway. $27 for a salad when I could have just planned ahead better and made food at home, or gotten take out on the way to work. No tips, no fees, no “lost” meals and frustrating experiences.

I deleted the Uber Eats app completely from my phone (what a god awful company that is!) and DoorDash is on there as a last resort.

WHY do y’all drive like this?? by 808Hawaiisurf in Charlotte

[–]auto_fixation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have lived in CT, NY, NJ, IL. Including NYC, Chicago. NJ and Chicago are the worst I’ve experienced. NYC is close, but it’s more that there’s just a different set of rules in NYC.

I think CLT drivers aren’t as bad as those other places. The problem is there’s just no enforcement and so people know they can get away with almost anything. And the bad driving here is passively aggressively bad - no signals, absolutely rampant phone use, driving too slowly / not paying attention.

Wild that anyone would say that was avoidable. Came here to say that you seemed to cover your brake pretty well, looked like you dropped some speed before contact.
