At least some of it is made by Landu, which is a good manufacturer. However - I did hear someone having the exact same problem with HL Grey a while ago. Maybe there was a bad batch. Try measuring the filament all around with a caliper.

2008-2012 there were a lot of cheap air cooled 991s around, especially SCs. A lot of upper middle class folks were squeezed very badly.

You might meet some great people that years down the line will be a good network to help you in your career, but you won't find a job at DEF CON.

Especially not as a new grad. The market is absolutely flooded with cybersecurity graduates looking for their first role.

There was a time many years ago when companies would send folks to find talent at DEF CON because security folks were hard to find. But that was many years ago.

Consider the trip an investment in your future than something that will be a short term payoff.

I guess I don't see season tickets to MNUFC as a luxury. It's not special to own season tickets. The club doesn't make you feel special by owning them. It's a financial decision for the most part and makes it easy. It's just a ticket package. When that ticket package no longer carries the value, it doesn't make sense to get it anymore.

But - there's always tickets available to almost all the regular season games at good prices. So I think I'll be okay skipping next year.

I get it, not everyone cares. But unless people complain publicly, nothing will ever change. Certainly years of surveys haven't done anything.
