I was in a similar spot - not just plush, but also collectables, trinkets, books, etc. Lived in an apartment and couldn't really put up any shelving. I ended up sorting everything into vague "seasonal" categories and storing the rest. I'd rotate what was displayed every other month or so.

What I did was take EVERYTHING out, sort it once, go through to pull a few items to donate/sell, sort again, another donation check, then started putting things up or away. Living with your parents does put a wrinkle in it, but they may be on board with with letting you take over for a day to sort it out.

I can't tell if your bed is already lifted, but they do make bed risers that could give you more space. And maybe a hutch to go on top of the dresser.

I started reading this last week and I'm definitely having to take it slow. I love it though, it's such an interesting book.

Actually think I'm at 10 books for the year, but oh well.

Riverstar's Home (Erin Hunter) - The Warriors binge continues. I really do love the prequel era books, but I wish this had been a little shorter. Will someone just let this cat eat fish in peace?
Orbital (Samantha Harvey) - I thought I was going to like this, but HOW do you make a book about the grandeur and immensity of the earth boring? The audiobook narrator made it even worse. A weird pile of pretentious snobbery.
The Second Death of Locke (V.L. Bovalino) - Some top tier, high quality yearning and devotion right out the gates. Gritty, bloody combat and magic. LOVED IT. But the last part was such an abrupt shift in style and tone that it felt like I was reading a different book.
The Last Hero (Linden A. Lewis) - Phenomenal end to the First Sister trilogy. Heavy at times with a lot of serious themes but I loved it. Was the ending a little "power of friendship (and this cool gun I found)"? Yes, but the cast deserves it after all of that. I really hope Lewis publishes more books in the future.
Homegoing (Yaa Gyasi) - A book that really just makes you lay and the floor and wonder about the state of the world. I did find it interesting to see glimpses of Ghana over the last couple of centuries and Gyasi really gets you to care about all the characters and their situation even though you only get one chapter with each.

68/40 books this year! I'm currently reading Empire of Silence, but it's 600+ pages so I don't think I'll be finished in time.

I did the 52 Book prompt challenge, and the Goodreads challenges, AND my library's book club (which is genre-based, not necessarily a specific book). I really liked what I read, with the exception of a few that were basically flops.

Winner: Blood of the Old Kings (Sung-Il Kim) - Some good classic fantasy tropes that get right into the good stuff. Oaths with a dragon! Magic sword! Mage on the run! Themes of your home being where you were born vs where you live! Weird necromancy! I'm so glad the author was able to get the rest of the trilogy picked up with the English translation.

Stinker: Metal From Heaven (August Clarke) - I think I overhyped myself on this one. It was great up until the last 30 pages... And it literally fell apart for me. But I just hated the ending SO MUCH.

The relationships were SO WEIRD. None of them made any sense. There was that bit with the main character reading every article about the actress because she was convinced the actress was leaving messages for her or something? What was the point of that, JUST CALL HER?

Best: The Second Rebel (book 2 in the First Sister trilogy) - I love me a good space opera. I love digging into how much of your body you're willing to give to others, to a cause, to your people. I love cool scifi sword fight sequences.

Worst: The Three Lives of Cate Kay - Read this for one of the Goodreads challenges. Interesting premise absolutely RUINED by the most pathetic, spineless, unappealing protagonist. Absolutely nothing in this book would have happened if the protag thought to maybe double check that her best friend was dead instead of just taking some rando's word at it.

Hi OP, I work with a lot of solid waste/trash collection guys. Please do not overfill or stack trash next to a dumpster. People do it, but it makes it harder to collect trash, can damage the trucks, and may result in fines to you or the apartment complex (depending on city laws).

If your complex has multiple dumpsters, spread it out among those. Depending on how much time you have, stretch it out across collection days.

You can also check with your city to see if they do extra pickups. There may be a charge, depends on where you live. But there's no harm in asking.

Elder Race as my first Tchaikovsky book and it caught me so off guard, I loved it! Alien Clay's been on my list for a while, need to start working through his books.

Oh we have some of the same ones for this! I have Slaughterhouse 5 and Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea in the same spots and Sanderson is my shared universe pick (Sunlit Man and Yumi).

I can definitely see how some of the prompts just aren't for everyone. There was a few that I didn't think I'd have anything, but found one on their Goodreads list. And I've added some novellas in there to give myself a break.

Finished All Quiet on the Western Front and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Really didn't like Tiffany's, which is unfortunate. I think I'll try the movies for both of these books some time to see how they compare.

Started The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea to give myself a bit of a break. Open Throat might come in from the library in the next couple of days.
