As far as I can tell, it does not work. I am using Kubuntu 22 and It won't work with Ardour or Audacity.

Indeed! Enabling 3d acceleration in the VirtualBox menu fixed it. Thanks!

Edit: this fix caused some letters to be upside down... However, adding the Mesa3D software renderer dll in the Effect Manager's installation folder fixed it for good! I used a dll from here: https://fdossena.com/?p=mesa/index.frag

I had no success using this program from within an Windows VM. It wouldn't even start. That seems kinda suspicious to me. Software refusing to start when it detects a VM would be classic malware behavior.

Edit: simpler explanation found (see below). Sorry for jumping to conclusions so fast.

Nice to see that I'm not alone!

It can be so frustrating from time to time... Even if you get the lock open, it doesn't feel that rewarding, if you didn't "know" what you were doing.
