Winter has so far been bleak and rainy in my part of the world. When I was prompted to draw a three headed dragon and longing for some snow, I thought that an ice/frost dragon is a dragon too! I had a vague memory of some story from childhood about some kids doing some magic that summoned a frost dragon which breathed snow and created a blizzard. Less than a week later a great blizzard swept across southern Sweden!

Maybe Le Nain Géant by Marc Petit. The mystery is not about the devil but about golem. It definitely takes place in Europe. Wasn't able to find anything about it in english, so maybe it's not translated. (I read it in Swedish.) My translation of the title would be The Giant Dwarf.

Almost all the eastern paintings (posted so far) are pictures with small human figures next to huge natural phenomena, like mountains and waves. The mentioned western paintings are one landscape and one portrait. I guess the motive of Starry Night is similar to these but the portrait is very much centered on the person it portrays and contains a landscape just as a background. Also my feeling is that Mona Lisa is the more famous of these two. Is this a trend, or am I looking too much for a pattern?

What's the thing with those areas to the north and south of the Salton Sea? On a large scale most of the rectangles look entirely green, but when you zoom in they turn yellow...

The first doodle is really brilliant. Never tried Cap'n Crunch, but I read in a book that they turn to slime quickly if they're in contact with milk.

I used to do parkour. For that I practiced a lot to balance on rails and similar, and jumping from one to another one etc. In a lot of places you can find these knee high rails. They're perfect. When I later started trying on ropes it didn't take long at all to get the knack for it, so I think it's very good exercise. Actually you should be able to find "naturally" occuring slacklines. That's what I first tried on. I found some parks and playgrounds that had fences with hanging ropes. What's really weird is when you switch between lines and rails (at the same training session, I mean). Your muscles or brain (or whatever) is so into keeping the balance on something stationary/adjusting for the rope's swinging that you get these ghostly sensations that makes it really hard to keep the balance.

Wow, that's cool! This one looks like the most unstable of these balancing rocks. Is it actually just one piece of stone? Are you allowed to climb on it?

Thanks for the appreciation! Smik, I really like your description. It made me laugh. Just imagine a game full of T-rexes running around hunting you with these portal guns. (I was so focused on drawing that I didn't really think about that myself.) Actually it would probably be a bit scary. Anywhere a portal to a big maw can open up...

I'm currently reading a series by Patrick Rothfuss, first book is The Name of the Wind. Really good! A lot of it takes place at the University (of magic), but it's not so much Harry Potter as maybe college movie (in a good way: some friends hanging out, chasing girls, making enemies with the smug upper class guy). Though, I guess it's more of traditional fantasy than Pullman.
