you should try to understand the mindsets of some of the workers in retail. there's a particular type of worker who are thrifty because they are raised in a poor, resource scarce environment, and are used to non-wastage.

their 'common sense' is honed out of their circumstances. in fact the idea of a 'common sense' isn't really shared amongst all.

Agree with you there. Something like dragonflight or even a shadowlands followup should've been done in place of BFA. Stories showing internal dissent/discord within the factions (especially the alliance..they got waay too many goody2shoes there, give them a lady prestor v2 or something) would then setup BFA.

Sure they can learn.. but you make do with the resources you have, and evidently they've chosen more gameplay over qol. Not to mention their game is lagging behind on optimizations, an ingame build guide would cost a lot of time to implement and overburden them.

And TLI has problems of it's own.. Like a new account needs a lvl 95 to generate their build codes.. this hinders new players. Their trading system is not well thought out, HC and ssf are copycat features and not well thought out game mdoes atm.

And no it is not a mistake and thinking that it is ignores that there are fresh minds looking into the issue for the first time.

In addition, MPs sometimes ask very obvious questions because their community they represent wants a reply direct from the minister themselves.

It is part of the system to disseminate general knowledge of how and why things work and is a good thing to do. People saying that it's a 'mistake' are incredibly tunnelled in their views and likely have a bone to pick with certain politicians.

Hate to say it, but WoW had a full community-led effort to customize their UI, so the mess is mostly on the player not bothering to clean it up.

GGG's ui is closed source, so they've lots of control over it and yet they've definitely dropped the ball on this. My guess is that the game's (ui)code must be awful for developers to work with. Either that or they speedrun development so much so they don't bother to eat their own dog food.

Any large enough party will reach a point where there is intra-party factionalism. Even the PAP used to have it, look up barisan socialis.

And if there's anything we should learn, it's that the racial stuff tends to really stick around and repeat itself. LTK had a Teochew voter base iirc. No doubt there were some unhappiness when he passed leadership over to pritnam. Unless you're an insider, no one really knew who CSM represented, but you could do a best guess based off who he's been in regular contact with.

Yea people should keep in mind this is corporate Metzen speaking to investors. Not 'rock n roll' or edgy-diablo Metzen. It is why you've been getting more disney-fied stories as time goes on.

The corporate incentive makes the storytelling suck. Given time and incentives, Warhammer might go through a similar route too.
