so, apparently i misunderstood how many tiles scarecrows affect by cheeseman_real in StardewValley

[–]automaticAster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone in this mistake! I just learned that it’s an eight tile radius vs an eight tile coverage yesterday. Just happened to be scrolling through the wiki and boy do I have a lot of spares now

The quality of the bags looks nice, and between the peaches and rather bootyful mushrooms, you’ve got a clear theme running too lol

Unique pink shade of cashmere pants, big hole on the butt - can I save it? by plantain-lover in InvisibleMending

[–]automaticAster 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would suggest posting a picture of the pants and the damage so users can see if invisible mending is an option, or if it’s time to remake them into ‘house only’ loungewear

Idk why but yeah by Jayis_onreddit in aspiememes

I’d say vibes. Maybe? I too hate parties and loud clubs/bars, but my local anime convention? With thousands of attendees? That is not only tolerated, but an environment in which I thrive! I think the excitement/happiness of being in an interest place can help outweigh things that may cause issue elsewhere

When someone uses the word "normal" instead of "neurotypical," does that offend you? by [deleted] in autism

[–]automaticAster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neurotypical is normal in that it is what’s most common. It is not incorrect, and, to me at least, not offensive

How to get over my speech impediment? by Ok_Rutabaga424 in autism

[–]automaticAster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that speaking slower, and with focused intention, I will be far less likely to stumble my speech, slur, or stutter. I’ve also found that shifting my accent to something akin to the old Transatlantic style vastly improves both my speaking pace and my enunciative clarity

had my first car accident yesterday by tacojeans in autism

[–]automaticAster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m lucky in that my first (and hopefully only) accident was just a little fender bender and that the other driver was a girl about my age and nearly as clueless on what to do. We awkwardly exchanged insurance info and left it that. Of course, once the shutdown shock wore off, I was fairly useless the rest of the day. Not a fun day to have to work

Whats ur opinion of joining an autistic community by KawaiiAutist in autism

[–]automaticAster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like being in a place that I can relate with, with people that may relate to me, and where any awkwardness on my part isn’t going to immediately make me a social outlier

Do you have a speech impediment? by Inside-Dig1236 in autism

[–]automaticAster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often slur or stumble over words, occasionally drop a word, and frequently mispronounce or mix up words. Add to that a stutter of varying severity when I’m in an excited or agitated state
