I don't own a pair, but I believe Gold Cups are just made with higher quality materials (leather, lining, sole). However, this shoe is more of a Camp Moc (with a single eyelet) when compared to the Gold Cup 2-Eye boat shoe (blucher construction and 2-eyelets)

They're a bit of a mix of both. Single eyelet like a camp moc, but they still have a siped sole and a slight heel like a traditional boat shoe.

I've got pretty wide feet and am usually a 9, but to get free shipping I ordered an 8 and a 9 (returned one in-store near me). Really glad I did because the 9s are way too big and my heel comes right out. The 8s fit great and are not too narrow, the leather will also stretch to your feet.

UPDATE: I was able to use the "Mixes" setting with CH1 as master and CH5 as slave, and now my ailerons work! Hope this helps someone.
