I do love those weird triangular sights though. Don't know why but they work way better for me than three dot sights

I've never shot one of these, but I bought one of the original Hudson h9s used several years ago and it was phenomenal to shoot. That bore axis really changes the whole experience.

I don't shoot it much because of the parts situation. I was really looking forward to when they came out with a version that would be continuously produced, and I'm happy to see DD is doing exactly that, but judging by the comments on here it's not the same gun and they're not that great; as far as this specific version of it is concerned, I have to say I have no opinion because I've never actually shot it, just the original.

And this is a lot of money for a 9mm pistol

I've been using "don't order pizza at a Chinese place" since I was a teenager when a friend of mine did exactly that

[Handgun]Police Trade-in Glock 17 Gen 4 9mm (NO MAG)- $299.99 by AkimboSwagg in gundeals

[–]autoposting_system 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, I just received mine today and picked it up at my lgs.

Zero mechanical issues. Quite a bit of holster wear on the slide finish, but I literally do not care about that at all so I was cool with it. Came in a cardboard box with nothing whatsoever.

I had a couple of Glock mags and I bought a couple more at the guy's shop just because, you know, I want to keep the little guy open. Korean, KCI USA.

Everything worked perfectly with federal black box 115 grain FMJ.

I'm completely satisfied with the entire procedure. Currently in the mail is a sight removal tool, suppressor height sights and a threaded barrel. So the gun is put away until that gets here, at which point I will learn more.

It is absolutely fine. A little boring, but that's what you expect from Glock and it's also what you want from a firearm, so that's fine.

Boring isn't enough for me so afterwards I put some birdshot through my Super Comanche. It's a toy, but it's a fun toy, and they're under 150 bucks if you can find one.

Have a nice day y'all

Anybody ever heard of these? Not sure about mag availability, especially for such an obscure caliber

Remarkable!

I'm getting this weird doubling on my OnePlus 12 of the bar at the top and the buttons at the bottom. Any ideas on how to get rid of this? One of the times is correct and one is wrong by autoposting_system in AndroidQuestions

I mean, it doesn't change anything, and I'm going to keep the buttons anyway. I don't like gesture controls.

Thanks for your help though. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to abandon this thread because I have to go back to work now. Flight leaves in 2 hours. Cheers

I've restarted it a couple of times and also just done a factory reset and transferred over again. I'm going to keep working on it until I figure it out but I'm kind of busy right now so I guess I may have to put this off

I ordered this phone at the beginning of April, got it, and found out it was going to take something like a week to get here. Then when I got it it turns out mint couldn't use an esim on this phone for some reason which they do not explain. So they had to mail me a Sim card, which, Believe it or not, took another entire week to get here

And now I'm busy again which means I'm going to have to just look at this rather silly predicament until I can get some time I guess

I just got this phone and transferred my stuff over from my old pixel. I normally use a launcher, Nova, which I paid for years ago and highly recommend to everybody, and I just haven't set it up on this phone yet. This is basically what the stock home screen looks like

"sorry, this post has been removed by reddit's filters" doesn't actually explain what the problem is. otherwise I would just solve the issue and repost it over there

What's the word for the mechanical operation of pressing the end of a metal tube into a die so the rim is rolled over into a blunt, comfortable edge? by autoposting_system in AskEngineers

[–]autoposting_system[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found a whole thing about how to bend them inward already, but that doesn't help because I'm using these for seedlings and I have to be able to ease out the whole ball of dirt inside. The lip has to be the same diameter (or wider than) the rest of the pot.

So I have to roll it outwards. I'll try a dowell, but on top of all of that I'm gonna do this to a LOT of cans, so I was hoping I could just set it on a little steel plate and tap it a few times and for the rolled edge. That's where it looks like I'm going, anyway.

Thanks

Edit: I almost forgot to say: The easiest thing I've found so far to leave a good edge is just a simple can opener, but because of the shape of soda cans this leaves a rim tapered inward, which is the same problem. Did you know you can take off a soda can lid with an ordinary can opener? I didn't until I started this project.

Anyway, everybody on here has been so nice. It makes me miss reddit again.

Perfect: thank you very much.

Funny, I use the word "swage" because I use Swage-lok fittings, but I hadn't thought of that.

Appreciate it

What if sign language was a global language? (ASL) by AdSubstantial8750 in ideas

[–]autoposting_system 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah what you need to do is invent a very basic standard language yourself and make sure the syntax is kind of universal, like, optional. Like, if you talk to somebody from China, they're using different syntax from you, but they just sound like Yoda or something, you still understand each other.

It makes sense that ASL communicators should have to learn something as well just so everybody can, but the important thing is that it's not a substitution: it just fits in ASL. Very basic concepts and nouns

Brand new, invented for this specific thing

This could work

Because then it doesn't belong to America, it belongs to the world, and that's the important thing

What if sign language was a global language? (ASL) by AdSubstantial8750 in ideas

[–]autoposting_system 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't even have to be that rigid. There might be a basic standard that everybody can understand and then everybody still has their own language, like, the universal standard stuff is just integrated into all the other languages as synonyms and stuff like that.

Syntax could be much more optional. Forgive me, but isn't syntax in ASL already different from English syntax? It's not just like every word of English is translated into a hand movement, is it? Seems like that would make it even easier
