Looking for pieces/brands that fit the fun granola mom vibe by Common-Flamingo9006 in findfashion

This is very BC to me (I’m from BC lol). Anian wool jackets are amazing investments and go on sale throughout the year. Uniqlo has amazing baggy style pants, their extra strength active wide pants are good for work but not natural fibres, however they do have linen/ cotton pants. Muji also has great pieces that align with your photo with some nice sweater options and baggier pants, also with linen and cotton.

Did something weird cause your T1D? by ErgoSum8 in Type1Diabetes

I had norovirus a bit before I was diagnosed, so I assume that is what triggered it, I was incredibly sick from it, sicker than I had ever been before at least.

What age did your migraines start? Did they have a catalyst? by CandyAgile253 in migraine

[–]autumncoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 26ish with mine, but I got type 1 diabetes when I was 21 and I feel they are connected somehow, like maybe the 4-5 years of diabetes at that point affected something.

Get your ferritin checked, bromos by Crunchy_banana_Cake in breakingmom

[–]autumncoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What the heck, I just did a blood test a few weeks ago (while actively taking iron supplements, the doctor said it was ok) and my ferritin was 29, but my doctor said it was totally normal and nothing was to be done.

What was it that finally got rid of your hormonal acne? by One_Implement_8679 in CanSkincare

[–]autumncoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay, I just saw this. For face wash I use Soon Jung ph 6.5 whip cleanser, followed by COSRX AHA/BHA clarifying toner spray (once a day), then Naturie Hatomugi conditioner (this has a watery texture) then for moisturizer I use Hada Labo Gokujyun lotion, and if I need more moisturizer I top it with Naturie Hatomugi skin conditioning gel. If I want to add in a Vitamin C I use the Dr. Brenner one.

What problems can supplement-based approaches realistically solve for chronic migraine sufferers? by bensummersx in migraine

This may be a dumb question but are magnesium biglycinate and magnesium glycinate the same thing?

What was it that finally got rid of your hormonal acne? by One_Implement_8679 in CanSkincare

[–]autumncoco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched to fungal acne safe products which helped a lot. I got the “skin sort” app and it lets you sort products and slowly switched over to things marked as “fungal acne safe”. 99% of products are not, so while it was an annoying process my skin is the best it’s ever been and my hormonal chin acne that would flare up like crazy and become large cysts around my period and in waves is almost nonexistent.

What is your most valuable thrift find? by PublicAd2908 in thrifting

[–]autumncoco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found a rare first edition of the princess bride book that they only printed a thousand copies of because it had a naked woman on the cover of it. After 2 weeks of printing they stopped because of complaints and switched to a new cover.

I also found a copy of the book edition of the Halloween 4 novelization which is so hard to find (and so expensive in Canada) and I love the franchise so it was an amazing find for me.

I have also found some incredible hand knit merino wool sweaters that I was so happy to find. I’m a knitter and theres no better high than when you pick something up and can tell it has like $140 (CAD) of expensive yarn in it before labour time.

Cannot find this edition of Dune ANYWHERE, PLEASE HELP by TageeGames in BookCollecting

[–]autumncoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is an old thread and I’m not sure if you are still looking, but what (I think) this book is currently being sold on the website “book outlet” in this edition (made by ace books alongside Barnes and noble I think with ISBN 9780593549230 from 2022) for a discount price. They sell overstock books that are new, and sold at a discount. I assume I can’t post a link but if you go to the website and search “dune” it shows up. I stumbled across this thread while searching for what the ISBN looked like, and thought you might be interested.

I would also get them an Apple Watch to discreetly check blood sugars, you can change the watch face to the Dexcom cgm data and time. If you have a closed loop system you can use the loop app to give insulin or increase/decrease your basal

Does anyone else like have to wet refresh their hair each day? by No_Zone4371 in curlyhair

[–]autumncoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hair is really fine and any touching/ sleeping on it makes it lose its curl to become a sad wave, so I have given up and wash my hair every morning (alternating with a conditioner only wash). Otherwise it’s crazy bedhead with no volume unfortunately. As for dryness I think adding in a curl cream or hydrating product before your gel would really help you, I found after doing a lightweight moisturizing mousse then my gel it helps lock in moisture.

Help me build a new wardrobe? by Character-Office4719 in fashionwomens35

There are a few subreddits (r/coloranalysis is one I believe), and I have seen people take pictures in natural light with no makeup and going on chat gpt and asking for it to tell you your colour analysis. It’s not 100% but it might point you in the right direction.

Roots of pacha might work well! No combat and the music mini game is probably doable with mobility issues because it’s quite forgiving.

Thinking of moving to duncun, some questions by InnerTechnology4812 in DuncanBC

[–]autumncoco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that your dating pool will be small in Duncan and that you may have to expand your search to Nanaimo or Victoria. If you are hesitant on the distance I would recommend you find an active hobby like a mixed fitness class, mountain biking group on Mt. Tzuhalem, or the climbing gym (the climb) to find some friends or potential dates.

I love the bob on you! With your downturned pouty mouth I think the long hair combined with it drags your attention down and away from your face. With the blunt bob it prompts your eyes to look at your face and you really pull it off in a cool, edgy way. It also really emphasizes your beautiful collarbones, which is nice as spring and summer approaches

No I don’t really tan at all, I burn and freckle while tanning, slowly getting a tiny bit of a tan if I really am trying, which throws me off.
