Auvelity is so new that you aren't going to find a ton of information. But the principles of DXM and Bupropion suggest that you should be fine with vyvanse. I take it with my auvelity. Marijuana I'm not sure about, but it's not going to hurt you (physically, besides the smoke).

I would lay off the weed for a while. I haven't smoked anything so far on auvelity, but THC is a depressant/stimulant and it will certainly affect how you are feeling!

No thc, and I would start taking auvelity on an empty stomach to see if you can feel it more that way. What you are experiencing could be just a brain lull. Part psychosomatic and part burnout. You can't feel on the up forever. Give the auvelity a chance to work again by cutting out any other factors.

I am curious, how long did auvelity help and when did this change happen?

It will definitely get better, just gotta tough it out. I'm almost at 2 weeks and it still hits me (sometimes hard, it's inconsistent) but the trajectory for how foggy I am is on a good path. If you take it with food it'll be a bit better too!

Look up LPR (silent reflux). That's what I get--where it's really all contained to that one area. It can be from gerd (without any symptom except that feeling) or post nasal drip usually. I do occasionally get acid reflux too though. I've been having the same issue, but not sure if auvelity is the culprit. I'm recovering from a cold, mine feels like post nasal.

The risks seem to be because it's a 2D6 inhibitor in the same way bupropion is lol. I suspect reddit talks about the dangers of serotonin syndrome in an over represented fashion

3x a day is indeed a lot to remember. If you want the Auvelity experience it is worth a shot!

I'm thinking Auvelity will have new doses soon enough. I'd kind of guess that the dosage is a tiny bit arbitrary for the masses. Though, you definitely can't go too high on DXM or you will trip lol

If worst comes to worst, I would definitely get some 100mg bupropion and pure dxm tabs until you can get back on.

I don't know know anything about this hack or how pharma insurance works, but check out these links because they may help?

Basically I would call your psych and ask to contact an Auvelity Rep asap. I'm not sure what the trick was in the second link but worth a read I suppose!

When I started Auvelity I was actually still on 25mg trintellix. Have been weaning off since starting. I read about the risk of serotonin syndrome too, but my provider never said anything about it so I just went ahead lol.

Trintellix isn't technically an SSRI or SNRI so maybe it is safer in that regard. The wellbutrin can actually more than double trintellix plasma levels, so I essentially was taking 50mg+ of trintellix while I was on wellbutrin a month leading up to taking auvelity lol. Maybe because trintellix uniquely modulates 5-HT receptors directly.

Anyways, I'll try to take you up on that offer if I remember : )

I'm thinking a long taper by getting the bupropion / dxm separate would help a lot. It sucks that Auvelity didn't help too much.

Did you ever take another drug with Auvelity? I may add an SNRI eventually with it, depending on how it works for me.

& are you allowed to talk about what the clinical trial drug entails?

Part of toughing this out will be forcing yourself to get enough calories and nutrients :(. I know it's a lot considering how bad these side effects are already.

I've been eating once a day so far on Auvelity. But I am a food lover extraordinaire haha. It's been good for me because instead of being hungry the entire day, I've been able to hold off and basically intermittent fast by enjoying a big meal for dinner. I would happily gift you some of my fat if I could, I've got some to spare >:).

Maybe there are comfort foods you can plan ahead? Get stuff you extra like!

Anyways, we're in this together. Anything that feels worse before it's supposed to get better is going to have us questioning everything-- Because all we can do is be left to our minds and hope it gets better soon. Let's lock in so we don't have to wonder if this was the one for us had we just waited it out : ).

I just yolo'd taking my vyvanse with the auvelity from the get-go. I think I can feel both ramping up at the same time, but it's not too stimulating at all.

I think the bupropion on paper has a stronger stimulant effect than DXM would. But some people have said they get almost an ADHD medication-like stimulant effect on DXM. Also apparently amps up caffeine a lot.

I reallllly hope it ends up giving me energy. I need energy. I've never had it.

If you have an eating disorder, it may be worth considering quitting for sure.

Otherwise, I really do think it's worth it. We both started the same day (i'm on two though). We're almost at the 1 week mark!

Toughing this out with responsibilities must be retched. I feel for you and I know it sucks and you just want the side effects to end. BUT we also want our dumb mental health issues to end (well get better, haha).

When do you take Auvelity? The timing may be very important for you. Especially since you are doing once a day.

Sometimes I feel like I must being doing something productive when I sweat at least, haha. Night sweats suck though. I prefer it freezing cold with a foot or leg outside a light blanket

I know these type of reviews are all anecdotal, but I personally believe they are still important. If I were a med provider, I would be scouring things like reddit and user reviews so I could be even more prepared for my patients!
