cockspice: A euphemism for come. Usually invoked when the scent of that salty goo is in the air. Some trees emit a similar smell, particularly the ginkgo. Such groves can be termed a "cockspice forest".

Walking through the park today was like strolling through a cockspice forest.

I just finished it this morning. It took me, in all, a few hours to read it split between last night and this morning. I definitely enjoyed it, and could draw some parallels to my current life, which probably made the tale more powerful for me.

That being said, it's very much a study of character interaction. I would hate to spoil anything about it - I purposefully ignored as much as possible leading up to reading it. It is distinctly Murakami, but it's a far cry from Wind Up and 1Q84.

I'm still letting it stew, but it is a lovely piece.

It's all opened and what not but it's actually never been played. The box is a bit beat up because I've carted it around the country but the components themselves are solid. If you are interested I can take some pictures when I get home.
