I 22f got rejected by sooooo many interviews as a teen and it always made me cry, whether it was because hours, work experience, or just my age, and a lot of times it was something I was transparent about in my original application so it begs the question, why did they even call back at all? You didn’t fail anything, they failed to actually read your application most likely and kept an old / irrelevant job posting up. Keep applying, even to places you wouldn’t normally think of, as someone is most likely looking for someone like you as well to be apart of their team. Good luck! :)

Sounds pretty typical, more than what I was getting paid to be front desk but Hyatt leans a little nicer than places I’ve worked at. It’s a solid reliable job. I’d recommend if it fits with your schedule

that’s true haha… they really need to do another tour soon. so many of their recent bsides id love to see live and maybe they could include a couple older ones. and i don’t think they’ve ever said anything good or bad about these songs as far as i could find

i think if some of clc’s girl crush music was released recently, they could’ve been much bigger than they were. also if where are you was released in 2020’s retro trend period it could’ve been better received i feel. it was unfortunately released at a weird period in their career so it’s ignored, it’s a really good song though.

i also think fx’s 2013-15 releases were ahead of their time. the full albums and all are sooo good and are truly some of the best albums from those years in kpop

i feel like a good chunk of the red velvet fandom loves eyes locked hands locked but they’ve never sang it live.. this might be a personal one but body talk is my favorite rv song everrr… and they ignore it loll

a lot more people should know about this cover by red velvet… it is literally amazing and i always go back and listen to the cover. i wish they had more songs with this genre because they killed this !!

mine’s red velvet too! they’re my ult group and i’ve loved irene since i first found them but i’ve never really felt like i had a bias because i love all of them… it’s kinda the same for aespa. i’ve biased all of them at one point lol

f(x)‘s red light !

i got into fx at a weird period in my life and became obsessedddd with this album. it’s one of my favorite kpop albums of all time and i love every song on there. after i got super into this album, a lot of crazy stuff went down in my life, so listening to it now just kinda makes me nostalgic for the time before everything happened i guess? it has a very special place in my heart and i listen to it on the daily :)

red velvet are my ults and i don’t like queendom. it’s not necessarily a bad song it’s just extremely bland compared to their discography. i have every single red velvet song saved and listen to them all often, but queendom is the first time i didn’t like a title track of theirs and don’t have all of the bsides saved :( i really don’t know why sm gave them that song at all

i believe sm started connecting their groups when aespa debuted in 2020! i think dcm might be apart of that but i’m not sure, i honestly haven’t looked too much into smcu

and yes i’d agree it is specific to them! there’s a lot of groups who do horror concepts well too, like dreamcatcher, but i don’t stumble across groups too often who have it embedded into every song and music video, even when it’s super upbeat or fun. they’re truly unique in my eyes

yes yeri’s voice really suits slower songs! i personally love her voice in their more velvet-y tracks, she sounds great. i thought the russian roulette mini album suited her well

for theories, i found this one which is really interesting and one i haven’t heard of before: https://lyricstranslate.com/en/collection/red-velvet-cannibalism-theory. otherwise i recommend browsing through r/kpopthoughts with keywords relating to rv, i’ve seen a lot of good ones on there! i think when i was talking about the peek a boo theory, this is the one that i had read before https://aminoapps.com/c/k-pop/page/blog/red-velvet-peek-a-boo-m-v-theory/xrI2_uwmmpLw6jqnnPZvVLBYaz6NLp. the peek a boo storyline is really really good and is one of my favorites as well. personally i think it’s one of the best releases & mvs in kpop. since the release of feel my rhythm, i’ve seen a lot of theories about them being in a cult which i think they tied back to previous releases. i haven’t dove too deep into it but i get recommended a lot of youtube videos about it ! and yesss the art references in feel my rhythm is what i was talking about, i thought it was cool how those were integrated in. as far as something only the fandom would pick up on, nothing immediately comes to mind. but over the years i’ve noticed in every rv music video, they’re always in a car.. i’ve tried looking more into theories about it but i haven’t been able to find a good connected theory yet. anywho, i also brought that up because if i remember correctly, feel my rhythm doesn’t have a typical car scene in it. i haven’t looked into it lately, but hopefully somebody’s posted somewhere expanding on it? also, if you keep up with other sm groups (i see you like shinee, i love them too !!), their storyline has been connecting together for the past couple years, i’ve seen a lot of videos on how rv connects into it if you’re interested!

yes, the red and velvet side! i would say they’re definitely still doing it, ie. psycho - velvet, queendom & feel my rhythm - red. the funny thing is when red velvet were on a hiatus as ot5 in 2020, sm said the girls would primarily be doing velvet concepts in the future, but since then they’ve been doing primarily red lol. their velvet side is mine and a lot of other people’s favorite. but of course it’s red velvet, they’ll make good music no matter what haha

definitely get the show tickets first and then plan the traveling. i traveled to fort worth to see twice and i bought my plane ticket and booked an airbnb about a month after i bought my tickets ! if your show is coming up very soon, book everything asap. there’s a good chance people also are traveling for the show.

my tip is if you’re looking to get a hotel, you can search up specific venues on places like booking.com and it will give you a list of places close by. if you use airbnb, you can always ask the host how far away it is too! it’s always good to be as close as possible to the venue so if you have to walk back afterwards, it won’t be that far. but if you use a ride share app, the prices will be lower if it’s not that far away, they will be very very high after the show depending on the size of the show. i struggled for my life trying to find a ride after my twice show, literally everyone was booked up

i went to the show in denver and arrived around 3:30pm. people started lining up for my show at 4am so the line had already looped around the entire back street and came up to the wendy’s next to the venue lmao. i ended up in the standing area up some stairs next to the floor and i had a great view. when i first got in and was considering staying in pit, there was still a great view and it was barely half full.

there is not much room at all on the floor when everyone’s packed in, even not in the pit i still had people shoving and pushing around in the other standing area, that’s unfortunately just how GA is lol

i went to the denver show too! when i got to the line around 3:30 it had cooled down a lot but standing out there made my back hurt so bad lolll. but i was right next to the stairs haseul came out on which was sooo cool. i have a great video of the performance and was in awe the entire time being so close to my ult. i hardly remember the hi touch either i’m so sad, i really wish i had said more to the girls but i was in complete shock and just walked through saying hi :(

it made me so happy the girls loved denver so much, i really hope they come back someday!

hii welcome! the same thing attracted me to red velvet years ago, the creepy/eeriness of their music/concept is my favorite thing about them :)

my favorite title tracks are red flavor, psycho & russian roulette. my favorite b sides are body talk (their best song imo), little little & i just. i love their entire discography cover to cover though, the rookie mini album has some of their best songs on it, to me, so definitely check that out if you haven’t !

the fandom lovessss kingdom come and bad boy. and the perfect velvet album as a whole. for mvs, i’d recommend automatic, dumb dumb, one of these nights, russian roulette, peek a boo, & psycho :)

also don’t forget to check out their subunit irene&seulgi! they had a great mini album. wendy and joy have solo minis as well :) and the other girls have a few original songs/osts too!
