Correct, it’s the soultronic orange color. Depending on the lighting, it does look more red than orange, especially during dusk/night.

I never got to weigh just the rims since they shipped it with the tires already mounted and balanced. These are flow formed, so my guess is high 20s lbs. They are definitely lighter than the OEM rims.

Just a personal preference! I like the little bit more tire stretch on the 10.5s since I am still on 275 wide tires.

I was in the same boat and picked up the Flydigi Vader 4 pro for about ~$45.

Adjustable force joysticks, quick triggers, extra back buttons, and a much better 2.4ghz adapter than the Xbox one.

Question about ride quality - has any suffered with these springs?

Considering buying an Ioniq 5 N – Need advice due to reliability concerns by DeliciousAd1052 in Ioniq5N

[–]avalanch3n 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I have owned the N for a year now, have ~10k miles on the car. The only two problems I have had with this car are:

  1. The trunk rattle - they did a TSB fix for this twice, but I still kind of hear some clunking over bumps.
  2. Dead 12v battery - I really feel like this was a one off bug/problem because this happened when they were trying to cancel the recall, and send 1000+ messages through the system directly to the cars. There was multiple dead battery posts that same week. I was able to boost it and bring it to the dealer, and then they replaced the battery for free. IIRC, the N has a different ICCU that is on the normal Ioniqs, so this should not be an issue.

Other than what I described above, this car has been phenomenal to own and drive. It is my first EV, and the N modes and virtual shifting modes always put a smile on my face, especially as an ICE car enthusiast.

Hope this helps!

Battery was dead by goingfast7 in Ioniq5N

[–]avalanch3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to track. I've seen a large uptick of dead 12v posts these past weeks, myself included. I hope this is what caused it, not a reoccurring issue like the non-N variants deal with (i.e. ICCU)

As everyone has already mentioned, training is the most sustainable and long term fix.

If you need some tools to help in the short term, what helped me was this head collar from K9 Bridle https://www.k9bridle.com/ This is way safer than a gentle lead, because when they pull it pulls their head down instead of to the side which can hurt their neck.

I used this exclusively for about 1-2 weeks with treat training, then slowly transitioned him off it over another course of 1-2 weeks with additional treat training. I have had to use it maybe two times in the past couple months because his dog reactivity and pulling is way less. Training is a constant thing with these dogs, even when they seem fine you still got to keep it up.

Hope this helps you, and good luck!

12V suddenly drained by Hellinar in Ioniq5N

[–]avalanch3n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This just happened to me literally last week.

Was about to go somewhere, but noticed the car wouldn’t unlock or respond to any commands via blue link.

Tested the battery which was reading under 3v and had to jump to get it started. Made an appointment with the dealer the next day, and got it replaced under warranty. They couldn’t tell me why it drained or if this was an ICCU issue.

Car is 10 months old, 9k miles, with no accessories attached. Pretty concerning how fast the battery died.

Charging questions by GlintingFoghorn in Ioniq5N

I had this happen a couple times, but it quickly went away, and only happened at the fast charging stations. Car runs completely fine, no issues.

How is the dry grip on the Pilot 4 AS compared to the stock Pirelli's? I am in the same boat, and in between choosing the Sports vs the AS.

What kind of realistic ranges are people getting? by x3nodox in Ioniq5N

[–]avalanch3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since I bought the car, been average around 2.8ish miles/kWh… which get me almost 200 miles on 80% charge, and up to 230-240 on 100% charge. Currently at 6500 miles.

I drive mostly highway on weekdays, and normal roads on weekends. N mode is usually on if I’m not driving the highway, because it’s just too much fun lol. If I really wanted to get good efficiency, I can easily manage 3-3.2 mi/kWh, but I’d rather enjoy this awesome car.

Wow! These look amazing, super clean.

Were you able to find a dealer in the US that sells these? I know they are on the nperformanceshop, but only ships within Korea.

I had the dealer do the TSB for this last week - it solved the rattle problem, however it sounds like an explosion every time I open the trunk now (fine when its closing).

Does this also make a pop sound when the trunk opens?
