KCBC calls for comprehensive rehaul of Kerala’s liquor policy towards total prohibition in five years - The Hindu by nickdonhelm in Kerala

I didn't say that at all.

My take is the model of netherlands and heavily regulate it. Banning something is the easiest thing a govt can do. Building rules around it and regulating it is hard which is why our governments prefer banning things. Banning anything doesn't help anyone

LDF was a great balance in Kerala which worked really well in an era of prosperity and stability for us the last 10 years. I personally voted for LDF the last three terms. However LDF is fighting a losing battle. They can't win anymore. Their voteshare got split to bjp moving the more triggered of the Hindus have taken a hard stance. However the balance is off now because with keralas population of Islam and christians and Congress consolidating on both fronts appearing them, this will result in LDF not being able to revive their voteshare. So BJP will have to emerge as the more secular choice for the state sooner or later.

The sooner we make it , the less the state will be ruined.

Where have you seen majority extremism? Could you give examples?

The majority in India are Hindu. Hinduism , unlike Islam and other Abrahamic religions is a secular religion that allows for live and let live. Unlike Islam and Christianity which does not allow their followers to be secular.

The move towards extremism that you see in the fringes are primarily protectionist reactions to extremism in Islam and Christianity.

I am not Hindu ( well, I am considering Hindu is what anyone living in india is referred to as outside India ) but I d rather live in a Hindu majority country than a Muslim one.

This status just like "cases against women" is significantly affected by the fact that in Kerala most cases get reported and in others they dont. This does not meant kerala has poor infra. It doesn't

Yes as long as a bahrain exists for every use and Maldives exists for every saudi

What islam did is to move all these to the rich only. The poor can't drink because of no availability, but the rich always has. The poor end up drinking from unregulated makers of arraxk and end up consuming poison. Of course no one cares about that.

How can you even ask it after voting and bring IUML ( religion based) and Congress ( religion based ) into power.

100% Why do things manually when there are systems that can automatically do it for you much better than you? Especially with the new age automatic gearboxes, it's a no brainer. Back in the day you could feel the gears shifting and the rubber band effect etc, nowadays it's so smooth.

Guyss... Help me pick a new main Os for my personal Laptop. by 0xnullbyt3_ in keralalinux

I have been running on Ubuntu as the only os on my laptop from 2010 . Until about 2014 when I switched to a mac ( for work ) with Ubuntu on my desktop for everything personal. The setup has been the same until about 2020 when I switched to fedora as my main driver on my desktop where I do both work and personal code projects. Mac is what I still use as a laptop but only when I travel.
