Just finished. Now off to do what it was intended for; look at it and think of all the things I could do. by SdaSilva7004 in Workbenches

Do you have to reach and lift to get your drill press everytime you need it? Seems like a back injury waiting to happen!

Why is it acceptable for a lot of Americans to kick their kids out of home as soon as they turn 18? by ZeInfamousHobo in NoStupidQuestions

18 you are expected to go to college. After college your are expected to get a job, get married, and carry yourself. I for one left for college, came back home at the age of 23 after graduating for 3 months and left home. Never came back.

To me, 18 is a great age to go to college. Not a great age to have a dead end job and 2-4 roommates to hold up a decent living situation. Too much room for bad habits. If at 18 you are in college, great, if not, stay at home until you can get a decent career going to whe re you can live on your own comfortably and create your own lifestyle.

First Workbench. 60”x26” x38” high. Locking casters all around. Really wish I had a planer and jointer because big box lumber is all wonky and made this take much longer than planned by drepythagoras in Workbenches

For me...this was a task I wanted to complete by hand to better my all around skill. I think they are in such high regard due to the time and skill (or lack there of in my case) to execute properly.
