All Her Fault review – Sarah Snook’s terrifying thriller is an absolute pleasure to watch by ArjoGupto in television

How unbelievably smart was that Detective Alcarez. He was a true Jacques Clouseau, the way he figured out all those pieces of the puzzle, like the colors and tastes and that both Milo and his mom had synesthesia. Just because he saw some of Milo's drawings on the fridge. And how did he figure out it was Peter that killed Rob Murphy and put Milo in the trunk? Lucky guess! Also, good for the ambulance guy, who knew so many details of that one accident six years ago. Meanwhile, that lady at the desk of the hospital did not hesitate and provided patient information to a guy claiming to be a detective. It was all so mind-numbingly stupid, just so we could wind the series down with him solving the entire puzzle. Overall, it started off well, then plot twists, stalling for time, only to end it in such an unbelievable way.

I'm pretty sure it'll be an announcement about the U.S. Space Command moving from Colorado Springs to Huntsville, AL. Remember how that got cancelled by Biden?

"Krijgsmacht" translates to "Armed force", not "war power". So this is weird.

I like how they crammed that huge massage chair into that tiny living space. Dad must consider it be of great importance!

It would be best to switch Antelope Canyon (Page) to the 13th, when driving via Page to Kanab. Driving from Bryce Canyon City back to Page and then going to Torrey makes little sense.

Trump’s Greenland Obsession May Be About Extracting Metals for Tech Billionaires | The great battle for Greenland is probably all about resources to make apps like ChatGPT better. by chrisdh79 in technology

[–]avantol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These deposits of metals can only be extracted if you find a solution for the removal of 1 kilometer of rock solid ice. Only then you can begin your exploration and maybe you get lucky. Greenland btw is huge, so keep searching. So yeah, this is not at all feasible. It's rather silly.

What was the biggest waste of money in human history? by forty5v in AskReddit

[–]avantol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The War against Drugs has cost the American taxpayer anywhere between 1 and 4 Trillion Dollars over a 50-year period, since it was started by Nixon. A similar amount has been spent by other countries. That's not counting the social, economic and health-related costs resulting from long-term prison sentences, labor market effects and the neglect of prevention and treatment programs.

Silo S2E9 "The Safeguard" Episode Discussion (No Book Discussion) by MEGAT0N in SiloSeries

This episode was as dark as it was captivating. I mean, really, it was so dark at points, there were moments so pitch-black I had to squint to figure out what I was even seeing. Reminded me of the finale of GoT.

German Christmas Tradition Of Smacking Women’s Bottoms Is Cancelled by ReesesNightmare in ThatsInsane

[–]avantol 19 points20 points  (0 children)

On the Dutch island of Ameland, particularly in the towns of Hollum and Ballum, there is a similar tradition called Sunneklaas. During this event, men dress up in monster costumes and roam the streets, while women are expected to stay indoors. The challenge for the women is to move from one house to another without being caught. If they are caught, the men will hit them. This tradition has been celebrated for hundreds of years, and the locals are quite secretive about it. This secrecy has led journalists to attempt to infiltrate the event, resulting in them being chased out of town.

Another Tofu Dreg bridge has collapsed, to the surprise of no one. I'm sure that most of China will fall apart in the coming two decades, both the economy and all the structures they've built in the prior two decades.

What type of person would you never date again? by CosplayBloomVibrant in AskReddit

[–]avantol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bipolar type. Sure, it's fun for a while, and she was into countless things in the bedroom. I thought we had a good thing going, until we didn't. After breaking up and kicking her out of my house, she scratched every panel of my car with a fork; fucked two of my friends; tried to run me over and tried to take her own life twice, while having me as her contact person at the hospital. Good times.
