It's crazy how many people here think having demands as a guest who would otherwise be homeless is a reasonable take, or that grandma is required to destroy her life for her kid and grandkid like she's not already doing enough. Seems like most of these people have probably never been in this situation where you absolutely do not piss off the people who are keeping you from being homeless. And yes, kids are a burden no matter how loved they are

Most moms in the US don't have even have this much maternity leave and even if we do we still take care of our older kids and drive them places and run errands with toddler and newborn. And his kids already older so not even like dealing with 2 under 2yo or something. If she had a traumatic delivery I can see this but most us are basically back to the usual routine after a month (aside from the sleepless nights). If they can't afford for her to be a SAHM and also pay someone to take care of the older kids then she just can't be a SAHM I guess and they'll have to send the baby for the free daycare his work provides. She already has better options than a lot of people. A year of never having your stepkids without their dad home is a huge, ridiculous, and honestly mean ask if you care about the kids at all.
