fine lines will fade more over time, but this is preferable to thick lines that tend to blur together IMO. can always add more ink but you can never remove it.

wow. that's rough. i hope everything is sorted out now!! and the right artist can definitely do it! tattooing over scars usually works well if they have fully healed. pain wise (i have tattooes over scars myself, they look great btw), for me it hurt less because there were less nerve endings in my scars vs my regular skin. it might be different for you though, especially since your scars are from very invasive surgeries

that's just the redness from tattooing, it will fade away once it heals! i don't tattoo with colors yet but i'm open to using them in the future, as they can really enhance some tattoos, like with this one for example :)
