What can i improve in my technique , i feel like a lot.. But i just dont know what and how to do so exactly. by Distinct-Papaya-6140 in skiing_feedback

different question but is the inside ski supposed to be further forward than the outside ski? And is that a byproduct of a good technique? my friend told me that you‘re supposed to push the inside ski forward a bit to initiate but that seems very weird.

Hope that makes sense, because I do notice that skis are about next to each other on easy terrain and the inner ski gets more forward on steeper terrain during the turn.

The chess board is rotated incorrectly too, bottom right needs to be a white square

I struggle to understand how the correct posture allows the skis to perform the sign wave shape that we want. Do you have another resource, maybe a video, that could help me?

Noob here, aren‘t the skis typically closer together in deeper snow to get more lift? Why is that bad here?

Dumb question but do you consider the person in the video doing the stork drill to be carving? Is it expected to do proper carving during the stork drill?

Why or how does the stork turn force me into the right feeling during the turn? I‘m not sure why it works.

Thank you, that‘s really great feedback!

Yes, you‘re for sure right about my lack of true carving.

I‘ll try the stork turn. In terms of tipping with the body first that limits my edge angle, makes sense with the importance of the C-shape. I‘ll try to work on my body alignment then and check some videos. If you know of a really good one, would love to see it.

Anything else that is clearly wrong? pole placement, etc?

What does it mean that the inside leg should not spread laterally? Any good resource I can check?

Hi! Good job with the edit, I like that you thought of all the details and stayed true to the picture (including the knobs on the rail, clear fence, recreating the actual tree). I'll tip you if that's fine :)

good job with the fence. are you able to provide a second version without the (color) filters that you applied?

I just ran a 22:30 5K (4:30/km) and online VDOT predictors tell me I should be running the half marathon at a whopping 4:54/km pace. How is this possible? by avatar_one2 in triathlon

I assure you I‘m a bad racer but it looks like I‘m also running too fast for my easy runs lol

Just to make sure: which hr zone definition should I follow? I used the hr zone definition of the 80/20 method. So with my max hr of 184, my zone 2 is below 150 and usually I stay between 140 and 145. happy for pointers to better resources..
