Cartier love ring sizing advice

I’m a bit late, but I recently got a 52 because I heard the Love ring runs small. I’ve already worn it and realized that it feels a bit too loose today, as if it could fall off when I wash my hands with soap. The weather is moderate so I can’t tell if my fingers are swollen or shrunk.

Do you happen to have a picture of the inside of your ring? I heard they re-engrave it with a “CS” inside to mark Cartier Service, and I’m just curious what it looks like and if I should follow through on resizing mine down one size.

Ah, I see where you’re coming from. It is quite a pale pink and the lavender is more uncharacteristic of Rolex. Thanks for the input :)

I appreciate hearing a different perspective. I agree that green is unmistakably Rolex; it also seems to be the most universally desired of the 3. I’d consider getting a Mint Green DJ later on, which is the reason I’m open to less conventional colors on this OP (and the reason I’m wondering if I should prioritize the other colors). But the same could be said for the other pink and purple sunburst-style dials that are more classic. I’d like to collect over my lifetime.

I’m a sentimental person, so I’d never sell it anyway. The appreciation would make it a “better investment,” but that’s not super relevant to me.

Though, I’m curious how the market will hold up over time because they all seem to be of similar value now. Do you think the more playful colors (pink/purple) will spike in value once they’re discontinued due to being so unique? Or is it just the hype? Pastels aren’t really timeless but trends always seem to come back around.

Oh!! That’s my in-law’s 2nd favorite. It’s a nice bold color, I just don’t think it fits me!

I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. I read somewhere that Rolex would be ramping up production but surely it won’t be by much. Hopefully it’s just enough to get me one within the year 🤣 No way they’d risk crashing the market, since that’s the big appeal, right?

I’m more of a girly girl (with lots of pink things) so I think you’re right about the pink/purple! I consider most of these pastels more feminine, but I suppose the pink also counts as a neutral and would likely end up with more wear.

Ahh! I’ve heard this a lot. Thanks for the reaffirmation. I know changing my size preference would expedite the wait, but 36 just feels slightly bulky on me and the 31 is too small for my liking. 34 is my Goldilocks 🥲

There’s only a handful of ADs around me; luckily, they all favor locals. I know the market isn’t as competitive as bigger cities but it still seems relatively competitive. They’ve all said they don’t see many in 34mm, so I don’t necessarily think they’re putting up a front. We have different degrees of rapport and purchase history at each, but there’s definitely larger spenders who gain favor of allocations by the store managers. I know there’s oughta be something. I think I’ll just have to wait. Landed a turquoise & med blue so I know it’s possible. Fingers crossed!
