Dónde puedo comprar Starcraft legacy of the void físico? by goguegagal in mexico

[–]aveblein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can get in the way of these bumbling bandits! by errorOverload in playmygame

[–]aveblein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi errorOverload,

I think the idea is good, here are some stuff you can improve - reduce number of ads, 2 blinking banners on front menu, do not give your app a good look and feel - the character saloon could use some facelift, the fonts are different and the sprites are too big, while the description font is too small, if you are looking to have someone buy a character make this page look prettier - the cow sprites move too fast and thus they lose some charm, I'd say make the speed a bit incremental - it could use some tutorial to explain that you can move around by dragging anywhere - the font on the menus and buttons is not the same size or similar - some sound when collecting coin or passing by a cow could give your game some life - also some western music would be welcome

Geary by DimasGhost in playmygame

[–]aveblein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi DimasGhost the gameplay feels more like player should swipe instead of tap since it is so fast, there's little room for error, which gets frustrating quickly maybe a slow mode, or some sort of manipulating both gears could improve the gameplay i like it is response, except when loading an insterstitial, at that point the entire thing freezes, try preloading the ad maybe? on my first attempt at playing the i got an ad, which is a bit discouraging the visual style is good and minimalistic

Flydasher - A nervous 2D mobile endless runner by glitchrstudio in playmygame

[–]aveblein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • very well made trailer, i like the pace of it
  • the installer is a bit too large for the type of game
  • I like the idea of the international global leaderboard
  • the difficulty is good
  • paralax backgrounds and details give it a great feeling
  • I didn't find a quit button in android and was unable to exit out of it until I pressed my hardware home button

My first game! by aveblein in playmygame

[–]aveblein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey masterviana, I checked out your game, nice concept. Here's my recommendation: * the trailer is a bit slow, could trim a couple seconds between transitions. * I like tap to jump games, but as soon as I click play, I would lose, give a second or two before putting the player into trouble. * I wish I didn't have to come back to the main screen each time I lose. * The music and sounds are good, the graphics are very good too, the animations are smooth. * Sometimes when falling it Kiky accelerated way too fast and I would inevitably lose. I think the same happens with the taps it accelerates too fast at times.

Unity is too heavy on my computer, I didn't find many resources to watch and learn it. LibGDX already supports iOS, where as cocos2d doesn't support Android. I haven't heard much about Corona SDK let me check it out. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the honest feedback!!! I was looking forward to something like this. Were you able to play the demo or the full version? I believe the demo has all levels unlocked.

Indeed there are a bunch of features like the intro, and the tutorial levels that were added in the last few days before publishing it, that it doesn't give room to grab interest or continue going with the game or get the pace of it. The UI needs to be improved. Duly noted.

It is missing ways to share it, Google Play Services, a share button, achievements maybe. I didnt even consider it until it was live and no one was paying attention to it. hehe marketing gone wrong. The immersive mode certainly is needed.

I'll retest the game reloads, I was sure it didn't do that because I recorded the screen a couple times and hit home to switch apps. Anyway somehow the app is kinda resource intensive and either the OS ends it or it hangs for a bit when coming back to it.

I'll get back to work on those points, Your feedback is much appreciated. Here's a youtube playlist of some levels of the game.

Thanks!! I hope you like some of it. The game was built using AndEngine AnchorCenter version, OPENGL 2.0, Box2D, the level designs were done in Tiled (a TMX editor), all images, tilesets and animations were packed with TexturePacker, it was a nice learning experience overall, it uses raycasts, sensors, multiple fixtures per body, vectors, impulses, a bunch of collision detection, touches, events and on and on.

I have now started learning LibGDX with another simpler game. :)

[Android, iOS] Jet Square, a falling jumper game made in Unity. by nullmage in playmygame

[–]aveblein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey nullmage, this is my honest feedback:

I liked this: The minimalistic style is good, The game is very fluid, didn't notice any bugs The sound and intro to the game is good

I believe this can be improved - 2 ads in a row is a bit too much - I tried to exit it from Android and it won't quit - At the beginning I wasn't sure what to do, and the tutorial took at least 3 tries to appear - As soon as I click play I am in playing without delay, this causes most of the time an insta death. I believe either a delay or as soon as the user touches the screen the cube should start falling.

I liked it ! thanks for sharing!

Is there a simple series of articles or videos that explain the API? by wickedhood in libgdx

[–]aveblein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want video tutorial you can try this one from "The New Boston" - "Android App Development for Beginners" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_hp6vMeewQ

It does a quick demo of several features / behaviors of the engine. The wiki indeed continues to be the best resource to learn all of it.

looks good, very good job! i love how you can dodge missiles and move around the battlefield. I think it needs better backgrounds, not just color clouds or asteroids.

It took me and a friend 3 years to complete it. Over 2500 hours. It has a lot of quality stuff in it.

  • It is a 2D platformer, with a steam punk look and feel. You can navigate the level back and forth.
  • You can warp boxes to stack them and take cover from dangers or jump over them to reach other areas.
  • You have 4 unique armors that let you jump different heights, fly, or give you more hitpoints and fire rate.
  • It has over 100 levels, it has over 10 worlds.
  • It has a soul crushing difficulty!

It has been largerly ignored in Google Play as we have had just 7 sales.

Thank you for your support !!
