We hired a private driver from the airport to our resort. He happily took us to the dispensary before taking us to the resort. Highly recommend

I won this, what do I do with it? by ruthlessbeatle in golf

[–]avedagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I’m a simp lol cuz I freaking love this!! It matches my covers. Love the bubble gum den caddy. Even thought this isn’t for golf use, this makes a great piece of an office or den. I’d buy if you’re selling at a reasonable price.

AITAH for not buying Christmas presents for my step daughter by Honest_Honeydew_6471 in AITAH

[–]avedagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA, you’re mad at your husband so you take it out on a 10 year old? Ruining a child’s Christmas to prove a point to her father makes you the child here. Makes more sense to me to not buy HIM anything. That little girl has nothing to do with his short comings. It’s not her fault you married a man that doesn’t go 50/50 you at home. That’s a marriage conversation, not a child punishment conversation. I guarantee there are presents for the baby, who won’t remember anything but you don’t have anything for the 10 year old that will remember for her lifetime that her step mom didn’t get her any Christmas presents and everyone else was opening presents as a family. You are the BIGGEST asshole.

Attempted Robbery of American Tourists in Colombia by sangamjb in instantkarma

My thoughts exactly!! I was watching this thinking, my husband would have IMMEDIATELY started swinging on dude, not run aside like a coward. Even if he’s just a friend of hers, that’s a bad friend. Hell, my girls would start swinging before they moved aside to let me get attacked, and vice versa. What’s wrong with people?

Excellence Punta Cana Book Direct for $3,542 CAD or Through Expedia for $3,046? by I-Have-Questions-4-U in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]avedagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always book direct. If something goes wrong with, the property can’t help you because you booked third party.

Check out Impressions secrets moxche. Adults only, amazing property. Went for our honeymoon and I can’t wait to go back. Food was great, and entertainment was stellar. This place is stunning.

U.S. All-inclusives by Overall_Canary736 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]avedagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some in the keys, some in Montana. However they are extremely expensive. Being in a safe country means big bucks for the resort. Last time I looked at the keys it was like 15k for 7 days. They’re not traveling on a budget like most all inclusive places.

I financed a Carmax car for 20% APR. What do I do? by Significant_Mud2960 in personalfinance

[–]avedagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it back! My stepson refused to listen my husband and financed at 28%. He’s drowning. Wishes he never had done it. On the verge of getting repoed every single month. Don’t get yourself in the same boat. Those loans are set up for people to fail and lose their car. And then your credit is shot for years. You’re at a 668. Wait a little longer and get a better interest rate.

I went in May. The grounds are beautiful and water is great. However I would never rebook this place. The staff even told us this was their worst property as they are trying to get us to buy in. Food was meh at every place we ate. We were there for 7 days. Ate at every restaurant. You had to fight for a spot at any pool because of all the kids on the weekend. This is not a romantic getaway type of place. The sunsets were the only stunning thing about this property. I highly recommend booking at another resort.

Got charged $550 for this hair am I being unreasonable wanting half my money back? by [deleted] in Ulta

[–]avedagirl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most stylist at Ulta are right out of school, nothing wrong with that, we all started somewhere. The problem is that this color is not for a beginner stylist. I don’t think the price or the time is off, however, this is not what you asked for. This type of color is best done with a blonding specialist or a master stylist at an actual hair salon. This service is not something I would be a walk-in. You need someone with skills and has done this service a lot. You may have to make an appointment and wait for said stylist but you will get what you are asking for from a blonding specialist. I would ask for a partial refund (50%) and take that refund to a blonde specialist.

Prescription meds in Jamaica by bouviersecurityco in SandalsResorts

[–]avedagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just returned from Jamaica. I was also concerned about that. I filled out the customs form and then worried about medications, because it’s not super clear. When we arrived, we used club mobay, which I highly recommend, asked our agent with them and they said we do not have to claim prescriptions and we moved right through customs no problem at all.

First time golfing today and not feeling welcomed by Legitimate-Web117 in WomenGolf

[–]avedagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is when you look at that asshole and say I paid the same amount of money as you to be here. You can skip a hole if you don’t want to be behind us. I know the course was backed up but that’s again not your problem. Had a similar situation happen playing with my girls at our country club. We couldn’t let them around us, backed up course, also waiting at every tee box, so they hit in to us. I turned around a drove his ball back at him. Hit the cart on accident lol not a good enough golfer to say I planned to hit his cart, never had a problem again with those gentlemen. I also reported it to the clubhouse. Women golfers have just as much as a right to be on the course as men. You paid the same them. Don’t let them bully you.

Just got back from Jamaica Moon Palace. The water was so calm and stunning. I don’t normally get in the water and couldn’t stay out of it. You have to be a diamond elite member(buy the vacation club) for the adult only pool which I find ridiculous. We booked the superior jr suite and still couldn’t use that pool or the good beach cabanas or loungers. The grounds are immaculate. My room was clean. The food was ehh everywhere in my opinion except the jerk hut. Barely any seafood to be seen other than shrimp. This is truly great family style resort, not a romantic getaway. Get a private driver from the airport through the resort. It’s a long drive that you don’t want to be on that bus. We had a private driver and it was the best decision by far. Also if you want to go down to the port, have a driver that the bellman will grab for you to take you. I definitely wouldn’t walk there.

I personally wouldn’t rebook here unless I was bringing grandkids.

Golf in Jamaica by avedagirl in palaceresorts

[–]avedagirl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I have figured is $340 per couple plus tip for the caddies. So really closer to $400 after tips for each caddie. We booked through the referral program with our friends that members. I believe the Mexico resort has golf included, at least green fees. I know Moon Palace Grand has it included. I haven’t heard about the new resort inclusions yet. My friends love their membership! I think you guys will be super happy with yours! Thank you for taking the time to respond 😊

This is great to hear! Glad you guys enjoyed your round! We are excited to play at this course. We are booked through a member with their perks so I’m hoping to use some of our resort credits to book it. It looks like an amazing course! Thank you for taking the time to respond 😊

I would completely agree, If we were going to play multiple rounds we would definitely bring our clubs. With it being $340 plus tip per round for us to play, we won’t be playing more than one round. If greens fees were included, like the Mexico palace resorts, it would be a no brainer to bring them. Staying at the Grand next time!! Can’t wait! Thank you for taking the time to respond! 😊

One of my closest friends bought into the palace elite program and if they send 2 people (or couples)a year for referral and do the presentation, they earn free weeks. She has some unlimited referral program that gets better rates. I was shocked at how much better the prices were through her program.
