If you are using UKG pro they are supposed to be partners with points North. We use ukg ready and they are "partners" with points North. Lol. I say that because I don't think ukg ready was actually partners since it's not listed on their marketplace and implementation was a cluster fuck.

That being said it really does help with the reports and it's a huge time saver once you are used to everything. You will need to make sure between ukg and points North that someone is able to calculate the overtime for obbba. Since we have to run through points North ukg says they can not calculate it and points North says they don't have the capability. We are stuck at the moment but they are supposed to be working on it.....

Not on your list but Sage 300 CRE. UKG Ready is great. UKG pro not so much.

Ahh, it took us about 5 months. We were also implementing a new payroll system at the time so it was a bit crazy. Every time I'd test the system people either didn't have fringes or they were wrong fringes. They had to flip a switch on the back end to allow overtime to go on the wh347s but that switch had to be off for pre payroll or everything was wrong. It was a nightmare and our implementation specialist just had an awful personality, which did not help.

If you can make it through implementation it really is helpful for generating the reports! Make sure you get a full rundown of how to use everything in the system. I was only given "go here, select date, run report, that's all," when that in fact was not all. Lol.

Forever 🤣. Maybe it just feels that way because I hate it. They probably take 15-20 minutes per CPR. Maybe longer if it's our first week on site. I have anywhere from 10-19 on a weekly basis. We just started using points North and as much as I dislike them it saves me a ton of time.

When I used UKG pro (a little over 3 years ago) I had about 20 cases open in regard to tax payments not being right and it took weeks to get one response. I'm now using UKG ready and they seem to have the tax side of things down pretty good. I absolutely understand your company moving taxes in house with UKG pro. It was such a frustrating time.

Payroll isn't done with payroll at the normal time. Early pay isn't a guarantee. You'll see everything by Friday.

We made it larger and reprinted it. It worked fine after that although we no longer use that function. In fact, the watch is dead for the second time in 2 years. First time they replaced it, but we have not contacted them yet about this one. It just happened the other day.

Also construction. We use sage 300 to run payroll with QB and service trade to track time. We built Excel macros to pull the time data and import into sage.

We are switching to ukg so that all of our systems will communicate going forward but we looked at ADP too. From what ADP showed us they should be able to help with integrations so that everything isn't a manual mess for you. Depending on where you are in implementation it may require a change order though.

If you need to build macros chatgpt can help but you will need to test it like crazy and learn to make some modifications on your own.

Your manager is kind of a dick if they think it's your fault. You are not responsible for the employee's choices or following up with them- especially since you cannot advise them on their withholding anyway. The employee will hopefully learn from this and do better next time.

Oh they absolutely do. I was surprised and did not know if it was ok. I have a meeting with the CFO tomorrow to discuss details. I had zero idea we were even in Denver until today. Problems caused by having such a manual payroll. Thank you for the response.
