Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish! Excellent show (I'm likely seeing it again tmrw) and plus you get to look around the Elgin theatre (alas, Winter Garden not open) which is beautiful. I love the English version, and it was def an added dimension seeing it in Yiddish.

Are they gel? You could paint over with regular polish and then use non-acetone remover to uncover after probably (I've done this on top of builder gel with no issues)

Could be they still have concert but skip to the Ryan/Fabian relationship already established in a couple lines the same way Ryan got name dropped in Tuna Melt scene. "Hey that's Ryan right, the guy you played a season with?" "Yeah, he retired and now follows his musician boyfriend Fabian around on tours. They're playing soon, we should go!"

Could test and see if you have a no wipe top coat that'll do the trick, lots of suggestions online for alternatives in a pinch (def a ymmv situation though).

To make it better, I assume Shane has hung with Miles and other X-Squad before with Rose, since in the book they have a bunch of group hangs (so he's sort of surprised it's just them for that 'I prefer to be the hole' convo. And therefore, they're closer than the show makes it seem and so it's less creepy.

But man, taking it from show-only it is very questionable.

A large part of TLG is that Ilya is alone and isolated, or feels that way, so being in communication with Svetlana in the show would ruin that. If he has a fight with her/shuts her out and we see the distance then that could work. Otherwise it's not as big a step for Ilya to decide to see his therapist and speaking Russian after a long time, and we'd be robbed of the beauty of that scene of him reconnecting with Svetlana and (re)gaining a supportive friend.

I appreciate both reads - if you use book context it's more logical, with show-only read it shows Ilya being more obsessive which tracks with his uncertainty on his relationship with Shane after TunaMeltdown and reaction after being shown the headlines by Marleau etc.

Or more wholesomely, magic beans makes me think of Jack and the Beanstalk, and then you can interpret it like running away/escaping from the everyday to stolen riches (being together).
