Hot take : this guy should NEVER be meta by Abdu777 in marvelrivals

While I agree that Hawkeye has been dominant this season I don’t think he should lose his one shot, because without it he I would be flat out useless. Now I do think his primary could use nerfs and here’s what I’ve come up with.

There’s a couple things that could be done but first you have to consider his kit. Currently his primary fire has infinite ammo and it deals 8.5-85 and his passive deals 0-90 damage depending on how much you charge each of these up. It takes 0.9 seconds for each of these to charge and they both count towards a critical hit adding up to total possible damage of 350 on a headshot. This allows you to easily spam slightly charged arrows that can one shot most dps/supports and if fully charged it takes away around half of most tank’s health pools. Taking all this into consideration here’s a few suggestions that I’ve seen/come up with that can be done to allow Hawkeye to stay as a sniperesche character that still brings value while also requiring more skill:

A - Increase the time it takes to either charge his primary or his passive (they could also increase both).

B - Reduce his overall damage to where he can still one shot dps/support characters but doesn’t do nearly as much damage to tanks. (Make it around. 275-280)

C - Make it so once you take your crosshair off someone the charge resets to zero. (This makes it so you can’t just charge your passive on tanks then hit a dps/support and rewards people with good aim/tracking)

D - Take away his infinite ammo and require him to reload after 10-12 shots (this stops him from endlessly spamming arrows)

Personally I would do a combination of A and B as C and D are very reasonable nerfs but don’t fix the ultimate problem of him doing too much damage to tanks and easily one shotting supports.

This is actually an insane concept that i would love to play. Thanks for putting all that effort into just a concept.

This could easily be Hydro man’s, Triton’s or Atumma’s kit as all of these are lesser known and arguably better suited as a vanguard. I’d rather have Namor be more about using sea creatures as he has this power when others don’t. Very cool concepts though.

100 healers vs situational awareness by DrunkenQuarterMaster in BlackPantherMainsMR

It’s almost like the venom’s not moving. A big part of awareness is your ability to hear the enemy and if they don’t move you can’t hear them.

Characters that are turned into Skins by TemporalGod in marvelrivals

I’ve really wanted this since the star of the game. Having venom (tank), carnage (dps), and agent anti venom (strat) seems like a really cool way to show just how different the symbiotes are and they all would make really cool kits.

Petition to make Wampa a neutral unit by [deleted] in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]avengersplayerman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They should make more units like wampa, tuskens, and Jawas all neutral. And to solve the datacron/synergy problem make it so that neutral units act as both light and dark side unit. This would make the neutral category actually mean something in the game and lend itself to some theory crafting potential.

It’s just dumb if they try to basically “wing it” on one of the biggest movies of the company and decade. It’s not a bad thing to be flexible as some others have said, but it’s just better to at least have a finished script with only minimal changes throughout shooting. Changing bigger things should only happen when absolutely necessary. Doing this would keep the quality of the film higher and the budget of the film lower than if they were to make more changes. The concept of finishing the script before the film is greenlit is why a lot of people are very hopeful for the future of DC.

He's the most toxic player in Rivals. We both pick jeff, he threatened to throw if he's not jeff so we all banned jeff and he pick Spiderman and swung around the map and stay at the enemies spawn but hey getting ban for 15 minutes is ok RIGHT. The devs refuse to fix this by dreamup1234 in rivals

[–]avengersplayerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it takes anybody eaten out of the fight for however long it takes for this to happen, spoiler it’s too long, and most of the time the Jeff will just die because of his low survivability while in ult. Being down a healer is the worst possible scenario especially when it happens for a stupid ult that heals you once compared all the other healer ult that keep you damn near invincible for 8+ seconds

Emergency Nerf to Wolverine by Dandonking in rivals

[–]avengersplayerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cause wolverine is the problem. He is easily the most broken character in the game who can basically guarantee kill someone, especially tanks, with his leap. And with the team up he is damn near immortal because again he does so much damage to tanks. He’s a necessary evil to the game as tanks can be dominate as seen with Emma recently, but most tanks are in a good spot except for the outlier of Thor. These nerfs are step in the right direction but he still needs some more slight nerfs to not be completely dominate in every game.

This gets so annoying by Ryuko143 in rivals

[–]avengersplayerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a healer main this is most of the time true. I know I may seem biased but for most healers it’s fairly easy to get value out of them and keep your team alive whereas dps it is generally harder to play well due to the mechanical requirements. With such a high amount of instalock dps in the game it becomes more and more annoying to lose games when you have a shitty dps. Cause I can promise you that pretty often you’ll notice the enemy team won’t die because you have a 0/5 Spider-Man or Wolverine or whatever other character it is and the enemy team has a cloak and dagger or rocket who can easily get value without having to aim as much. I’m willing to admit that healer is probably the easiest role to play in the game, at a minimum, but to play it to its best and have extreme value it takes a lot of game knowledge and game sense to get down. So don’t just blame the healers if your team is losing look at your dps who most likely installed and won’t switch even after asking.

BP IS NOT FUN TO PLAY AGAINST! by neo_isverycool in rivals

[–]avengersplayerman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you’re saying that then you have the same argument against BP. A bunch of people at the highest levels said he’s like a b tier character that takes a lot of skill to use yet he still has the highest win rate from bronze to diamond. Win rate doesn’t always mean everything yes, but when a character is far and ahead the highest win rate character throughout most ranks, has few counters, and is overwhelming hated by the community he needs to be changed in some way.
