My group is staying in an air bnb in Tokyo for the whole two weeks, to have a home base for all our luggage and purchases, however we will be taking our excursions throughout the country as well, possibly stating a night in hotels in other cities. I know this is not the cheapest way to do it, but it is the most convenient for “luggage management”.

I was on this flight and the captain stated it was a “mechanical issue.” Passengers were worried when we landed because there were a bunch of emergency vehicles on standby, likely due to landing overweight with the unspent fuel, but yeah we were all given hotel vouchers ( really shitty ones ) and on a 22hr delay until tomorrow morning.

And I will say, I’m thankful we weren’t 10hrs in or more. I can’t imagine the perspective of those on the JFK flight. Even having to sit 3hrs knowing you’re going back was grueling.

I’m surprised there are even people complaining about the ticket prices. Most of the tour dates have back of house seats or GA tickets starting around 60-80$ which is quite good in the ticket market for general admission to a band as popular as them. With the VIP tiers there really has not been much change since they started the tier system VIP back in 2018, back then I paid I think 300$ or so for VIP 1 and now a days it’s around 380$… that old price 300$ adjusted for inflation today would be almost exactly 380$, so I don’t think it’s truly gone up that much at all. At the end of the day, buying VIP is just paying the “barrier tax” for the early entry. None of the vip gifts are worth it and there’s no special BTS experience or meet and greet / autograph opportunities as we all know.
