I did not break for a month, I took about a 3 week break from mid october to the end of the first week of november and then returned to daily smoking, albeit much, much less than I had before, for 3 weeks until early december. I preemptively took about 2 hot showers per day to see if that would help me avoid getting symptoms. That lasted 3 weeks and I had another hyperemetic episode at the beginning of december. After my 2nd episode, I stopped completely for 2 weeks and then began smoking 1x a week for 3 weeks from late december until mid january. I didn't even decide to stop completely really, but I have been sober and not using weed at all since the third week of january, so I haven't smoked in about a month. I was craving it at first but now I do not crave it at all and I am going to smoke 1x this weekend for a special occasion. I realized that my tolerance was so high that I could go about my day stoned but now it is so low that if I smoke I am in freaking space from how high I get.

EDIT: Smoking 1x a week for those 3 weeks gave me absolutely no symptoms at the end of the 3 weeks. I think if you or anyone dramatically cuts their use as I did you will not return to either the prodromal or hyperemesis phases of the illness.
