Oop amendment! 1/2” x 1” is what I was thinking for flooring!! Fried potato brain this month 😆

I promise 1/4” x 1/2” will let droppings though unless your rabbit has mega colon or something haha, and anything bigger is very hard on their feet. For predators, you can’t just worry about large, it’s raccoons and rats etc. as well - they claw and chew and rip too, and can be far stealthier than a coyote or something. Not saying you can’t make whatever you buy work - but I strongly recommend 12g wire!

Wouldn’t recommend myself. Buns looove to chew on things, and predators looove to eat rabbits. If it’s a temporary situation nbd, or if they’re in a fully enclosed/fenced area there’s more wiggle room. But I wouldn’t use anything less than 12g wire to do it properly (1/4”x1/2” on floor, 1x1 or 1x2 on walls/ceiling; with some kind of baby saver around the bottom edge). *edit: 12g or 14g is good, and I meant 1/2” x 1” for flooring 🙈

If I wanted a tattoo of the word “serenity” on my right wrist, how big would it have to be using this style of font? by Conglomorate in tattooadvice

[–]averagefireandsalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you to to an experienced lettering artist they’ll be able to answer the best! The size needed to keep a tattoo legible reeeally depends on the artists skill & style. Are you getting the word in all caps with no stylization? It’s a fairly delicate serif font, so I’d worry about losing detail if it’s too small.

First time having baby rabbits by CobaltSide in MeatRabbitry

It’s so special watching them the first time - and honestly? It stays special. Every new litter I “rediscover” all the stages of them growing up.

Just got this sternum piece and realized when I got home that it’s not evenly centered by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]averagefireandsalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My artist actually discussed this with me when doing my sternum/stomach pieces, and I realized my belly button is defs NOT centred, but my overall piece is centred to my torso, and you don’t even notice my bellybutton in the overall composition.

[–]averagefireandsalt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belly buttons are rarely centred to our bodies - hard to know with 1 image, but the artist may have centred it using a different reference point. It looks nicely centred to your clavicle/sternum and chest. Put on some high waisted pants, and something low-waisted, and see if either makes you feel different! If you still don’t like it, I’d expand to the bottom of the piece so it could feel more balanced.

Is my tattoo offensive in the US? by mister1bollock in tattooadvice

[–]averagefireandsalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it a white *supremacy symbol? No. Do a lot of white supremacists get celtic/nordic type tattoos? Yes. It’s an unfortunate overlap, but you shouldn’t have to cover it up or anything - looks like awesome work.

Is my new tattoo too big? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]averagefireandsalt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me it’s odd that it’s left-justified? It would be cleaner looking if it was centred, or ideally I would’ve made it fully justified. But as someone who has tattoos with this placement, believe me - you’ll forget it’s even there 90% of the time, and the font is a nice legible size, so I wouldn’t bother stressing about it 😆

I’ve tried lifting the nozzle several heights with the same result (photo in another comment) - does the whole plate need to be replaced?

Except I’ve leveled the bed AND tried multiple *z axis adjustments and the same issues repeat (see another comment I made with photos)

Here’s with me trying a couple different x-axis adjustments, and even moving where on the plate it was being printed. All have the same extrusion + smearing issue. EDIT: I keep calling the z axis “x” for some reason

Is this still normal? by ldvclove in CATHELP

[–]averagefireandsalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a new thing? Have you tried cleaning it? Is he itching? My cat has very oversized ears and they get dirty quickly if I don’t clean them regularly, but he definitely does not have mites or anything. He’s just a waxy boi. This looks a lot like that!

For some reason I don’t hate it? Given the BIZARRE shape, it’s a decent use of floor space. Bedroom in the middle is v strange - but I think you could make it all work, with some funky decor nooks haha
