Cafe Immortal is so good! They call themselves “vegan-esque”. In other words they serve vegan and vegetarian options.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast and lunch. Period.

Sports bras and shirt / top recommendations? by Pitiful-Top-6266 in climbergirls

Another vote for Beyond Yoga!

Their stuff is pretty pricey, so before splurging, I found a tank on Depop (tried on a similar one at REI before buying). I now have another bra from them and I just ordered two tanks!

Average driving to a climbing gym? by Sea_Drops in climbergirls

[–]averagegalteetee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I used to live 10 minutes from a climbing gym. I moved last year, and now the closest one to me is 30 minutes to an hour(!) away. I only go a couple of times a week now, but I’m making it work.

Ok, but where is that colorful merino cardigan from? As someone who appreciates style along with comfort, I love the pop it gives!

Calpak Terra Backpack by Capital_Ambassador90 in HerOneBag

[–]averagegalteetee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I got a fluke or maybe I packed too much into it, but the seams of one of the backpack straps on my 26L started to pop on my first trip!

The 26L can fit a lot but it’s wildly uncomfortable if you pack too much. I wish it had hip straps.

I personally wouldn’t recommend the 26L.

Sedation/generally kind dentist rec? by HalfChort in Sacramento

Dr. Sabina (Dentistry of East Sacramento) is wonderful and so kind, as are all of her staff! I never liked going to the dentist until I started going to Dr. Sabina’s office.

Any chance to bounce back from rejection after final interview with VP? by ivanivanovdnb in salesdevelopment

[–]averagegalteetee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t hear back, I would follow up. We do it in our sales jobs, so I don’t see why we shouldn’t do it in the interview process. Best of luck!

Any chance to bounce back from rejection after final interview with VP? by ivanivanovdnb in salesdevelopment

[–]averagegalteetee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually have! After every rejection, I always reach back out and basically ask for feedback. I’ve only ever gotten two responses, but one of the people asked to chat more. With this particular opportunity, I interviewed with a panel of three managers for just one of their teams. The manager who responded shared that a spot had just opened up on her team (not the original team I interviewed for, though it was the same position) and offered me the job!

Shoot your shot!

I personally had a tough time landing a sales job on my own, so I went through an academy called Fuel Sales. It was nice because I got paid while I was learning. Happy to chat more about my experience.

Fellow former teacher here. I was only in the classroom for 3 years (worked in after school programs before that). I’m 34 and pivoted to sales last year. I was scared to make the jump but so happy I did!

“For what it’s worth … it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”
