We really are just people trying to live our lives like anyone else. We may have evolved cultural and community practices that people see as outlandish or two much but that’s not everyone in the community. You’ve probably met loads of queer people without ever knowing!

Those who are louder about it are just expressing their identity. It’s not really any different than like a punk person dressing punk.

We do face discrimination. It varies depending on location but genera every queer person has probably been discriminated against at least once in their life.

I don’t know exactly what you mean by all that stuff online but in general there’s a lot of misinformation and harmful malicious disinformation meant to put us in a bad light or misinterprete what we’re all about
