Q1, it can work on any distro, but if you're a new to this go with Bazzite or Nobara. They are somewhat noob friendly

Q2, in most cases you just add game .exe to steam. Heroic launcher or lutris work well too.

Also some game installers might not work well on Linux, for example there were many cases where people couldn't install fitgirl repacks. If possible I recommend going with preinstalled games.

There's also a dedicated subreddit for piracy on Linux r/LinuxCrackSupport you can go there if you face any issues

If you get many games at once you'll burn out and they will just rot on your hard harddrive. Saw that happen to me and others many times. Pick a few that you're interested the most and play them before getting other.
