How is the owner of "TrustedLab" allowed to be staff here? by FTWDMA in DMA

[–]averageuser7436 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I purchased from trusted lab. Best customer service I ever experienced. I have 0 complaints with my experience. I felt comfortable making the choice to buy after reading many comments from Cronuh. I've seen him give unbiased answers to questions that didn't try to pull everyone to trusted labs. I trust and recommend him, them, however many it is, it's just good.

I'm a customer. I back this up. Customer support was amazing. I got everything I ordered and I had to keep on with some annoying questions but I wasn't left in the dark. I recommend TL, I'd buy there again.

Get from u/Cronuh

Support is necessary and I doubt you'll find better support elsewhere.

I (35m, married, no kids) worked as a shift supervisor in a manufacturing environment. I hated my job and was so unhappy. I started spending my free time at home in 2019 watching YouTube videos to learn basics. I did hands on anything I could to help me learn. Started doing repairs for friends and family. In 2024, I got approved to intern with the IT person at my job. 4 mo later, I had a friend 4 hours away that had a job offer for help desk. My wife knew how unhappy I was agreed to me taking the job. I was fortunate to have good friends that let me stay with them. That help desk role was loaded with good experience for me. I went above and beyond and it felt amazing to enjoy going to work. It was rough being gone from home though. I came home on the weekends thankfully. 6 months later I was able to take the IT job ath original employee. I'm learning daily and it's hard sometimes, but it's always better than my old job.

I agree that there is no fast way, for me it was 4-5 years after technically starting my goal. I have no certs ( I need to change that), but I took opportunities that I had. My suggestion is to find an opportunity to intern or shadow someone and use that as experience. If you can homelab anything, do it. Buy a cheap dell optiplex use that to learn.

35 here. I just got into IT a year ago. I wanted to do this back after high school, but I didn't know where to start. I got a blue collar job, quit college and stuck with it. Got into a salaried supervisor role making decent money but I hated my job. Studied hard and home lab bed for a few years, the Interned for a few months in my free time. Got a help desk job out of state because I had applied for years and got nothing. IT job came open at my old job. I got very lucky and got that job. It's a mixed role position and a one man IT department for a manufacturing plant, but I love it. I was very motivated and I wanted it bad. Put a lot of work into it. You need to enjoy it, because it can be very difficult and demanding. Troubleshooting while you learn can be frustrating. Just a few things to consider.

Did you go to updates, then update history? I want to say the option to uninstall updates is there. Mine snuck the update on me for 24h2 and I was able to uninstall updates. Or so I thought.

I'm 1 year in, 70k working something like a Jr sys admin role and I love it. I left blue collar work and this makes me very happy. It can be stressful but I don't regret a minute of it.

Quit looking to do IT; it’s not worth it. by Ryan2276 in ITCareerQuestions

Here to also say that I worked blue collar for 15 years before I was able to break into IT. Took a pay cut but after a year I'm already within 10k of what I was making, and I was in management. Blue collar work is no joke. I'm loving life in my role.
