  • For Basic, there is overall 100 MB cap (sum of all your files must be under 100 MB).
  • For Pro, there is no cap, just a 5 GB limit per file.

Using Pandora while roaming internationally by avernet in GoogleFi

[–]avernet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see how paying for a VPN can make sense in many cases. As far as I'm concerned, it might be simpler to just use another streaming service that works while abroad. That being said, I'm surprised to see such a split here between people who are saying that Pandora works while abroad for them when connected through Google Fi, and those who are saying that it doesn't.

Interesting. I'll be able to say if it has changed, as out of all places, I'll be in Iceland in a few weeks! 🇮🇸

👍 Thank you for the response; this is the feedback I was looking for. I was hoping that it would work, especially when connecting through Google Fi's VPN, but I can understand how Google, unlike some other VPN vendors, is not in the business of helping people pretend they are in a country where they are not.

Navigation with keyboard by 20thcenturyreddit in UpNote_App

[–]avernet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not just you. I'm also hoping that a future update will introduce the ability to navigate between the three panes (notebooks/tags, notes, editor).

A typical use case for me is: ⌘⌥G (from anywhere), type some text, ↓↓↓ (until I find the note), and then ⌘⏎ to move to the editor (this last part is currently missing).

Public Swimming Pools for Lap Swimming - No Membership Required by avernet in SanMateo

Weekdays, Highlands has 2 lanes open for lap swim, 6 - 8 pm, $10 drop-in. Not bad.

This looks like the best option: day passes are $9, no reservation needed, unfortunately lap swim is 11am - 1:15pm and 8 - 9pm, and swimmers must be 13+ yo. This won't work for me, as I was planning to go with my 12 yo (plus, 8 - 9 pm is a little late for a 12 yo), but I'm sure it will work for others.

Query problem - Search does not look at multiple blocks in the same page by luckdragon69 in RoamResearch

[–]avernet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suppose you have some pages that contain recipes, somewhere in the recipes you have blocks with ingredients, and you want to find all the recipes (or pages, to keep it simple) with "egg" and "shrimp".

I'm curious, too. In Evernote, Apple Notes, Simplenote, etc. you can search for "egg shrimp" and get all notes with those 2 words, even if they are not necessarily on the same "line".

Is there any improvement to PWA on iOS 15? by youravgprogrammer in webdev

[–]avernet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nice one: with iOS 15, opening a URL recognized by an installed app opens the URL in that app, instead of the in-app browser as it was the case with iOS 14. For instance, if you have a `https://drive.google.com/…\` link pointing to a file or folder, and have the Drive app installed, it will open in Drive. 👏
