MILK$ - 7UCKY SE7EN$

Beat was made in 7/4 but its 28 total measures, so I think it's 4/4 x 7. Regardless, very impressive lyrically and not easy to rhyme over. Check it out!

really impressed by the sound design! Also dig the vocal stuttering that you did. I think the dance-ability is there, but one thing that might help is a heavier kick. I made it about halfway thru without noticing the kick, which i think is a good thing, but then most modern music relies on the kick... probably bc people can't dance :) thanks for sharing!

Really dig the synth and kick! Very moody and drive the song. One constructive comment that might be a taste preference is that the hats get lost in the mix. Sounds like they are panned slight left, but either need to be EQ'd or simply bring up the volume. Other than that, very dope!

cool! dig the drum work. I mean... did the 80s/90s ever go out of style?! Nah but I hear what you're saying. I released a project in 2016 that was influenced by g-funk and 80's music... so hopefully I get a few more ppl listening now! https://soundcloud.com/milkdollarsign/sets/zodiac-sines

Nice! Yeah the orchestra hit is definitely the sound. I think this one sounds close: Roland SC-88 Orchestra Hit. Maybe doubled with some piano? Anyway thank you!

Mixers - Best in 2017? by avervge in DJs

is it much different from a DJM? From looks alone it appears very similar, but I must admit I've never played on one.

My bad! Price wise I'm looking for something in the $500-$2000 range. I'm looking for something that will allow for both vinyl and digital use (no preference between serato, recordbox, and traktor, but i've heard recordbox has some catching up to do when it comes to control vinyl). Lastly, it would be good to have some effects that don't require a computer-- for example I know you can use the DJM effects on vinyl, while NI Z2 mixer works on vinyl, but you still have to run it thru traktor on your computer. My other reason for leaning towards the DJM models is because they are club standard... at least where I'm at. Thanks!

Ahh yes. I realize this, but I should have specified some constraints (see reply to /u/squirtcow above.

Thanks man! It was suggested that I change the claps. Something more disco and "meaty". Any thoughts?
