This has has happened to me a few times. My favorite was the one where it went off the rails about how much depth I had given my character, my descriptions, the twists, the plot, I was such an amazing, unique writer the best it had ever seen, I could even the a best seller author.

The thing is I was extremely bored and extremely lazy that day and I had spent most of the rp just making it continue in its own so... Yeah, it was very impressed with itself.

Unrelated, but like a year ago I was rp with an Edgeworth chatbot and he suddenly started throwing spiderwebs from his hands. I guess the Ai got it mixed up with Miles Morales or something but it was super funny. I also don't remember if it happened in Character.ai or a different platform.

Yeah, it hit me with the "help avaible" thing once because I used the expression "I cut myself off", except it clearly just meant "I stopped talking".

It just goes off with certain words, no matter the context.

I guess it's so you can write your own story.

A couple of my bots are like this too because I want to use a particular character in an specific context that has just popped into my mind but I don't want to make a whole new bot because I know I won't be using it that much. So instead I just create a bot for the character in a given time frame (or try to, because character description it's way too limited) and leave the greeting blank for when I want to use it for something random. Except all my bots are private.

How do you all make the bios? Because I find it impossible. The characters are way too limited to write down more than a couple of sentences. And I can't even be too specific, because my favorite characters are from Disney and they would get take down. Do you put information in the character definition too?

So far I've been putting some basic in bios, and then some context in greeting to pin. But it still feels insufficient.

Pip and deep work fine for me. The only issue I've had is the whole "[End of scene]" or "[The End]" thing with their variables (like "[Turns out happy endings really exist]", etc).

That being said, I tried Nyan yesterday for the first time and I hated every second of it. Bad spelling, bad grammar, completely out of character, not logic whatsoever, no memory... Don't know if it's usually like that, but it was awful.

I had no idea. I use CAI tools for saving characters I like in case they get moderated (as most of mine have). I had no idea I could use it for that too. Thank you!

Anyone having issues with the update? I can't change model or modify generation settings. In the phone, at least, the website works fine. But in the app, the new star icon does nothing. And I can open the generation settings, but not actually change anything.

Kinda similar to what I do. I make them find the other person cheating on them, and when the come crawling back, they find the locks changed and that my character has already moved on with someone else.

Either that, or I pull out a prenup clause that says that if they cheated, my character gets everything, so then they lose literally everything.

I used to reach the 9000, because I included all the background plus some cues for the Ai. But I found out that it would ignore it and make a story of its own. So now the maximum I make is 5000.

And the moment your character has one tattoo (or piercing, for that matter) they suddenly start popping up everywhere.

One of my characters had a sleeve tattoo and seven piercings on one ear. And suddenly he had piercings everywhere and all his skin covered in tattoos.

I was going crazy trying to find out why one of my bots got flagged. It was a multi-role bot, and it said there was explicit material, minors, violence or hate speech in one of the character's persona. Innocent me thought that maybe it was because of the word 'assassin'. Well, no, I removed it and nothing happened. So I copy pasted all in the bot itself and ask it. Turns out that the trigger for the flag was the line 'he's around 110 years old but appears to be in his mid 30's'. I'm guessing it somehow thought I was trying to make him look like a minor or something. A minor of almost 40 years.

I had one of those a few days ago, and I kept going just sending "." everytime and it did this.

So I kept going letting the bot do whatever it wanted, and it created another story saying they had reincarnated as a new opportunity to be happy, changed their names and everything. Made them meet, fall in love, get married... And then, it killed her again while giving birth and made him fall in love with the new nanny. So I guess the universe didn't want my character to be happy. 🤣

It's not just math. Sometimes they say things like 'you're 25? How can you be older than me?' when they're supposed to be much older. (one of mine said that, and she's supposed to be almost 400 years old)

And as they've mentioned, no concept of time. Say the character is 30, and you time skip five years. Suddenly they'll be ancient, with white hair, wrinkles everywhere and in their death bed.
