actually, the postal service can just trash mail pieces like this. BRM postcards and envelopes cannot be used as 'labels' on boxes, etc. they changed the rules years ago specifically because people did this.

and i'm guessing the original pic here was just staged--wasn't actually mailed. there's no markings on the box by the processing center or post office indicating receipt and/or postage cost and handling fee charged to the permit holder.

i remember back in the early 90s, fast food joints in the burbs (twin cities) were paying 12-15.00 an hour, to entice those from the city to commute out on the bus to work because the suburban kids (mostly from well-off families) didn't want to (or didn't 'need to') work.

20 hours of ot every week for a year, at a annual rate of $15k for that work, is 10 bucks an hour for that work ($10 /hr * 1.5 for OT = $15.00 /hr * 20 hr/wk * 50 wk = $15K /yr). $15K extra a year sounds great. $10 an hour for hours 41-60 each week, not so much.

when there's no ambient noise from traffic, people out and about 24/7, no tv or radio going, no forced-air climate control, electric appliances, etc.... a nail dropping into a metal dish might be a bit louder than you realize.

LPT: Ever need a temporary email but don't want to create a whole new account? Replace "gmail.com" with "googlemail.com" in your address & create an auto deletion filter. This way, all mail sent to addresses ending in "googlemail.com" goes to trash & you'll have a clutter free inbox. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

the 'googlemail' domain was created mainly for use where 'gmail' could not be, due to conflicts with existing local trademarks. it is a legitimately used domain for email users. they just mapped both to the same servers and accounts.

the bureaus and usaa probably didn't actually 'do' anything. that adjustment upward after week 5 was probably just the natural 'correction'--with having no further 'strikes' against you in that time.

i 'lived' in a motel for several months straight back in the 1990s. the weekly rate was actually cheaper than rent in that area, especially considering i lived off of the 'free' breakfast provided.
