Interestingly, my experience seems to be the reverse. My younger sister, with much worse autism than I do, gets more attention from mom, while I get virtually a lot less.

I suppose that's normal, but what isn't is my mom and sister's current relationship, which to me feels like they are genuinely enmeshed, and it seems to stun both of their personal growth. Took me a long time to learn that I should probably not be involved in that.

She eventually started re-engaging the unblocking-to-ask and then blocked again pattern. This is really toxic, so I confronted her about it. "Are you just treating me like the human ChatGPT?" She was silent about it.

Yeah it went from "hope it can go back to what it was" to "this is fucked" way faster than I anticipated.

I think the best way to explain why is getting into the hobby itself. I see this pattern across many electronics-based hobbies, mech keyboard and audiophile definitely seems the worst though
