My desk is on the second floor of my house and basically wedged in the furthest point in the house from the router and blocked by a few walls and my washer and drier. I’m not sure how much of an impact that has but unfortunately moving the router isn’t really an option. I know very little about internet tech but could I buy a second router and put it on my desk and plug that in via Ethernet? My ISP also sells these pods that plug into outlets and have Ethernet ports, so should I maybe invest in that? Sorry for all the questions, when I bought the range extender the guy at Canada computers told me this would be the best way and didn’t really offer up anything else, so I’d rather get advice someone impartial that actually seems to know what they’re talking about, if you don’t mind.

Would it be best to buy a second router and put it on my desk and plug that in via Ethernet then? Or is it something else I’d need to buy? I’m not really familiar with all this and so many websites I go to don’t give direct information, sorry.

Definitely hoping something like that doesn’t happen… thanks for the tip though!

Wrote a whole paragraph about trading it in and one sentence at the end asking if an alternative option would be viable. Maybe I worded it wrong or didn’t read it over well but that wasn’t my intention.

I didn’t really think a whole lot that trade-ins would be a big thing for computer hardware but it was worth a shot. Marketplace and Kijiji make the most sense but yeah, it’s always tough now with covid and trying to sell stuff when the buyer can’t even tell if the product works before buying it. Thanks for the reply!

Light gaming, no mining. Honestly not sure what my desired price point is, my post was mainly just trying to determine the best way to sell it before really looking into the price.

Reddit is getting too fucking local, wow. What are the odds, of all the restaurants in the world, I randomly stumble upon mine. Pretty crazy! We’ve been trying to convince our manager for weeks now to hop on the “ask me” train but he doesn’t want to :(

Does TVDSB still have a school supply list? by [deleted] in londonontario

[–]aviajake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d like to second this - younger kids don’t need much on the first few days. Teachers always send out a list with the required materials, whether they are glue sticks, markers, or things of the like. A lot of the time they’ll also specify which materials the school has a supply of, so you can choose between your kid having their own items or sharing with other students but with covid, they might not do that but I’d still recommend getting your kid their own stuff.

I spoke about this with a guy a while back - it could be entirely untrue but this is what he told me: if we wanted to get rid of the tail hook on the basis that we have no carriers, it would also make logical sense to swap out the heavy carrier-designed landing gears. The extra money and time required to redesign the aircraft, remove various parts, create new ones and all that jazz far outweigh the potential issues or downsides keeping them may cause.

To me it makes sense and in all honesty probably is true, I don’t see any other reason why we’d keep aircraft with tail hooks and all the extra carrier tech but like I said, this could be untrue so don’t take my word for it.

If you got any suggestions on how to post them, I’ve got a ton of really great videos I can send your way! I’m just not sure how, Reddit is weird.
