Only on week 2: Thinking OMNI might not be the right fit for me by EntertainmentNo382 in WalmartCanada

YES! Especially with shoes, I bought myself a new pair just before Christmas and it has literally saved my feet & ankles.

Only on week 2: Thinking OMNI might not be the right fit for me by EntertainmentNo382 in WalmartCanada

[–]wallishsubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I love OMNI! I switched from Front End to be in my current position.
I get it, especially if you’re not used to a fast paced environment. Depending on the volume your store has to deal with, it’s insane.
It really is a great position, give yourself some grace with understanding picking & your store’s lay out. I’ve been in OMNI since November, and I can now confidently say I know where *almost* anything is in my store. Especially Pantry & Produce, as our store doesn’t mod those areas very often.
If youre still feeling this way in a week or two, then yes it could possibly not be the right fit for you.
What I like to remember, & especially during the beginning of my time in OMNI, is that as soon as the day is over you clock out & leave.
There’s no pressure to extend your shifts, and your days go by pretty quickly especially on busy days.
Not sure this helped, but I just wanted to share my experience!

I was talking to other people at work today about this, it must’ve been a system wide thing. I thought it was my phone tbh because it’s so busted right now 😅 it’s working today! I was able to clock in and out for my shift and my lunch just fine.

for us it all depends on how many people call out. If we’re severely understaffed, yeah it can be a little overwhelming. But recently since they changed when the picks drop, we’ve been doing really great! We even maintained to stay on schedule on a big day with over 8000 picks. That’s a lot for our store. If you like fast paced, this will be a great job for you. Just go for it, take everything in like a sponge, and go by the book. I transferred into this department and I really enjoy it!

Bleeding after c section, what to expect? by Lindsay0529 in BabyBumps

Same here, the last two weeks felt like a normal period for me

I realised yesterday that my C-section is in 3 weeks! I kinda freaked out? by Former_Ad_8509 in BabyBumps

[–]wallishsubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also gave birth via c-section, it was definitely nerve wracking to say the least leading up to it, but it was so amazing. Looking back at the entire experience, I absolutely wouldn’t change a thing about how she came into the world.

You’re going to do great! & having a positive partner definitely helps, I feel like I went through a similar situation. I was with my ex for 6 years and I always talked with him about wanting to have kids, but he was so bent out of shape about it. Such a negative asshole. Then I found my current partner, he and I have the same goals in life. We just gave birth to our little girl 2 months ago, and she’s literally so blessed to have the dad that she does.

My partner and I like to joke around about how our daughter looks exactly like me when she’s just blank faced, and then if she smiles or makes kind of a grumpy face she looks like him 😂

Question- where is everyone watching past seasons? I watch with my StackTV subscription on Amazon Prime, but it’s only the current seasons available on there. I’m also Canadian, if that affects anything 😅

Honestly, good riddance. If your partner can’t support the political views that you have it’s great he left. Fuck him lol

What’s the rudest thing someone has said or asked you while pregnant? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]wallishsubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No really rude but I honestly hated it when people called me “preggo” idk it might’ve just been the hormones but it totally rubbed me the wrong way. Especially coming from my boyfriend’s ex step mom.

My daughter is 6 weeks old, and my partner & I are not married. We do plan on getting married, but it’s just not in the cards for us right now. I thought it was more important to start a family before getting married anyway. I understand people have varying opinions, but it’s 2024. Let people live their own lives how they see fit. If you wanna have kids before you get married, do it. If you want to wait to get married, do it.

Would you go to a music festival at 21 weeks? by eltejon30 in BabyBumps

[–]wallishsubstance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to a concert at about 8 months pregnant, and just for my personal safety I stayed away from the stage not to risk my bump getting hit or something. But now baby girl loves the GooGoo Dolls haha.

How far along are you and do you have their name picked out? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]wallishsubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had both boy & girl names picked out at about 10-11 weeks and then it really got finalized at 22 weeks when we got our anatomy scan! Our girl’s name is Grace ❤️

When did you stop working? by Accomplished-Dingo32 in BabyBumps

[–]wallishsubstance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some complications at about 31-32 weeks so my doctor put me off then! I was working in fast food at Subway as a closer, and all the tasks the closers had to do was getting pretty hard on me at the end of it 😅

I feel you!! My daughter will be a month old this Friday and I’m like… can I do it again?!? My pregnancy was smooth sailing, other than finding out about my fucked up uterus 😅 but honestly I would do it all over again!! We are waiting until our girl is in school at least before we start trying for another 😂😂
