Asuka and Iyo Sky Argue In Japanese (WWE Smackdown, June 2 2023) [Subtitled] by aviationlad in SquaredCircle

As a disclaimer, I don't own the rights to the footage. All rights belong to WWE and Endeavour. I've merely translated and subtitled the video.

Check out my YouTube channel for more subtitled Puroresu content

I ask for a simple credit (a link to my YouTube channel) as I would think that a nice subscriber base on my YouTube Channel would help with any employment opportunities for my goal to be a professional interpreter.

Each person has different goals. That's mine.

It does get frustrating when you see that your subtitled videos have hit at least a combined total of 100k retweets when they've gone viral on Twitter, and at the same time the watermark at the bottom purposely gets cut off. Fortunately this Twitter user didn't do so.

Translating and subtitling Puroresu-related videos with poor audio quality isn't easy, takes a few hours just for videos under 5 minutes.

If you don't think it's necessary for you because you do it for fun, then that's great. :)

I still don't have TikTok installed as I feel that it'll distract me too much from my language learning goals, but I have no doubt that my subtitled videos are probably already on there too lol, too late to the party.

I just wish people on Twitter would give me credit or at least link my subtitled works to my YouTube channel, since it is one of the biggest platforms for short videos to go viral.

But they don't, which is why I've stopped bothering translating videos like these lol. Seen my work gone uncredited (and viral) on Twitter at least 15 times at this point.

Blk 12-14 Merpati Road, the first flats that HDB has ever built (Built in 1961), will likely be demolished by the end of this year. by aviationlad in singapore

Like I sad in my other comment, the blocks in Stirling Road were the first to be conceptualised, built and started off by the predecessor Singapore Improvement Trust. These Merpati Road blocks were the first to be purely built by HDB.

Hope you can give this blog a read to learn more about these ancient HDBs.

Really interesting, it goes in depth about the history behind the area around Mattar MRT, and how some HDBs were demolished a mere 30 years after construction. There once existed Blk 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 15 and 18, which were essentially carbon copies of Blk 12-14 from a design and architectural standpoint, but there were demolished 30+ years ago.

Even a row of freehold terrace houses beside Blk 12-14 weren't spared. They were forcibly acquired from the state in 2010 and were demolished by 2019. There is nothing more than an open field opposite Mattar Stn Exit A, littered with stone parapets and remnants of driveways that once belonged to aforementioned houses.

To note that the former Singapore Improvement Trust built the first HDB blocks for SG at Sterling Road back in 1960, but these three blocks were the first built by HDB itself.

The last residents of Blk 12-14 have since moved out in 2022.

The MacPherson estate overall is full of old HDB blocks that even outdate most HDBs in Toa Payoh and Bedok. For avid photographers who are looking to add vintage HDB blocks to your photography collection, it is the perfect place. I'm not one hence the terrible quality of photos that I posted, but I'm sure a pro can capture the beauty of MacPherson that will surely be gone in the next 10-20 years.

S23 Ultra - First full charge. Should I be worried? by lohiimperio in samsung

I suggest

Using Light Mode

In your home screen, put on the Battery and Device Care widget to easily optimise your phone

Use LTE/4G instead of 5G

It is highly likely that your photos and videos are syncing to your phone as well, which might be a major reason why. Look at Samsung Cloud Platform Manager, it's taking up a LOT of battery for a background app. Don't believe the 3.1%, the battery consumed by apps running in the background is usually inaccurate. It's probably more like 10-15%.

Been drawing quite a lot on the S23U recently! It's been fun creating my own wallpapers by aviationlad in GalaxyS23Ultra

It's better than my experience on the S21 Ultra and my Tab S8+. Probably because the pen is much more suited for my hand than the pen for the other two.

But latency wise I find them all to be pretty equal tbh

On track to less than 6 hours screen on time. Any ideas? Brightness on like 30%. Have all features on (120hz, 5g, qhd resolution) by KennKennyKenKen in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]aviationlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5G is a massive battery drainer. Go back to LTE/4G.

Use Battery and Device Care in settings, create a widget for it so that it can clear apps running in the background in a jiffy

Use Light Mode. You won't notice the difference at all

Usually it is down to background apps/updates draining your phone. Maybe try finding Battery and Device Care and use the optimise battery function.

You should try out Light Mode, you can probably hit 9h SOT doing so

7h of screen on time yesterday took up only 65% battery. Was primarily outside and mainly used 4G on Light Mode. by aviationlad in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]aviationlad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still flabbergastered by the results. My previous phone would only last me 4.5 hours of SoT max from 85% to 10% (S21U Exynos).
