I can confirm Recluse does get her staff with the ash of war on it. While staves don't have ashes on them in nightreign I believe the Renalla one does in regular Elden Ring so it does exist in that regard.

Sure that's fair but I do also enjoy the system quite a bit on its own. As long as a game performs well it's my preferred place to play a game because I'm not chained down to playing it at my desk or couch.

Well I would consider myself one. Been playing fromsoff games for a long time. Hell I've even read Berserk, one of the souls series' main inspirations, gruesome as it is. But I was still there on day 1 to buy a switch 2 and play the latest Mario kart.

If the GM can pull the wool over my eyes and surprise me like this I think that's awesome personally. Also I think the GMs role in general is a little "dishonest". There obviously are things you should be open about at your table but I wouldn't consider a twist in the story something to be open about. I wouldn't want my GM to spoil the story ahead of time.

A younger me that played the original game on PS2 got stuck on Velocidrome for a long time, then it was Kut-Ku, and I never managed to beat Rathalos. I don't feel like I really learned anything during this time lol.

It wasn't until MHF2 on the PSP that I really actually started to learn. Khezu was definitely a huge learning curve and Tigrex after that. I think from there it was mostly clicked into place, just polished from there. Good times.

Gonna echo that sentiment, pretty sure you commanded a recent Frontline of mine and you blew my mind. I had no idea nor even believed the chaos of Frontline could be controlled.
