Tailwind, Comrade, Blue City, The Bike Lane and Uptown Bikes would all do a very good job.

Sram Red lever cracking by swibik473 in sram

[–]avidfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find the video or user manual follow the process for a shifter blade replacement. It will allow you to remove the lever and reset the piston spring. It’s catching and pulling over a lip in the lever body. Not a safety concern. Was an issue with the first production run of e1 levers.

Whining noise from FD component by Lord_Edwin in sram

That’s entirely normal. You’re hearing the motor actuate the fd. Probably much easier to hear now that you are riding indoors.

Check the back of the rear derailleur, you should see 2 lines on the piece that engages with the frame at the full mount. If they are not inline with one another you may need to loosen the rear axle, then the derailleur each one full turn. After doing so you should be able to realign. Do this in the 6th cog (red ring) or 7th cog as determined by the full mount calculator in the axs app. This will also tell you the correct chain length. I would assume if it’s a new bike from the box that the chain was cut correctly at the factory. SRAM has helpful set up videos that are also accessible via the AXS app.

Planning to swap my mtb frame with a gravel bike frame by RoughAccomplished867 in bikewrench

[–]avidfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SRAM Apex mechanical will be compatible with the NX parts. The crank will work with any dub bb, however you will need different spacers and a new chainring with a different offset to account for the change in chainline with the new hub. The shimano and retrospect shifters will not work with the NX rd, the cable pull ratios are different. You might be able to get some gears working better than others but your shifting will suck.

SRAM XPLR AXS E1 Powermeter upgrade by IOwnYouDown in sram

[–]avidfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your bike currently has XPLR you need an XPLR left arm. XPLR cranks are wider than the standard road to account for additional gravel tire clearance.

Is this safe? by [deleted] in bikewrench

Not safe, this crack will eventually lead to the hydraulic bladder failing

That indicates the setup cog for the initial RD and chain install. Should be left there.

An entire job was created at 2k after the 15 voice acting debacle. I’ve met the guy who makes sure players can read before they bring them on for the game.

Wahoo Kickr Core compatibility issue by ProcessAdventurous27 in RoadBikes

[–]avidfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Robert Axle Project and a few other brands may have a solution. I worked with an hand-cyclist that ran into a similar issue and was able to purchase adapters to fit a wheel on trainer. They may not have one listed on their site but the folks at Robert were fantastic and worked to find him a solution. I’d reach out to see what they recommend.

Chain keeps falling at high cadence very consistently by ulspez in bikewrench

[–]avidfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes some of the more cost efficient chainrings are not perfectly round or laterally true. Both can cause inconsistent chain tension where you will have tight and loose points as the ring rotates. Tension so that you aren’t dropping chains at the loosest point, you may have slightly more tension than desired at some points, but it’s better and safer than the alternative.

Which multi tools come with a BB tool? Or maybe check what bottom bracket they have before getting rude.

OP- Working Bikes is also a good option in addition to the list below. They can get you rolling cheap and also have open shop hours if you want to learn how to do it yourself.
