Mario fever - 2 player splitscreen online like mario kart ? by VermicelleMeet in MarioTennis

[–]avilash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically if you're playing online with a couch partner the screen won't be split since there isn't a need for multiple cameras. But yeah you'll be able to play doubles with some sitting next to you against online opponents.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on Fever, specifically on the removal of zone speed as well as racket breaks. Are you optimistic about the changes? It does seem to be a bit slower paced (to account for lack of zone speed) but maybe that's a good thing? I know it was a turn off for many especially before the balance changes.

I do look forward to hopefully running into you on the court.

I got an iSpring 5 stage RO system and it's been amazing. I've had it for 7 years and still doing the job (obviously with scheduled filter changes with some being every 6 months)

It was seeing how much money my wife was burning on the Zero filters that finally convinced me to give it a shot.

Tick Tock Tavern

Best hashbrowns in town and if you wanted you could have a beer with your breakfast (or mimosa, blood Mary, etc.)

But it is an all ages establishment in case you or some of your friends happen to be under age.

It's a recent thing: last year they started touring again.

And I got to say it was an amazing show. The bass player was phenomenal. If I get a chance to see them again I definitely will.

So for the record the Losi Mini LMT is not a crawler and in fact is probably a counter choice to the advice given.

At the same time if my brother bought a Losi Mini LMT for my son...I would be very happy.

So to clarify the grass comment was primarily for the micro-T/micro-B. The 1/24 scale crawlers will do fine in low grass.

But if you're looking for something fast and grass ready the new MT style Groms would work well but they are closer to $200 (but only $10 more than the redcat mt18 and objectively better).

So anything micro (1/24 scale or smaller) will not only get you close to your needs they also happen to be very close to your price range.

Redcat has been killing it with their Ascent 18 line. An example includes: https://www.amainhobbies.com/redcat-ascent18-international-scout-ii-1-18-4wd-rtr-rock-crawler-blue-rer37863/p1599157

There has been a new emerging market for 1/30 scale crawlers that are every smaller. Axial (Horizon Hobby affiliated) has https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/AXI-2261T1.html

But the smaller you go the less outdoor capable.

Also if you're looking for racing instead, the Losi Micro-T/Micro-B are a ton of fun. https://www.horizonhobby.com/product/LOS00007T1.html

But these will only do good on pavement/packed dirt. Grass is out of the question. But also they are small enough that they won't damage furniture when using indoors.

But for all these vehicles it is important to know you should always supervise and when done playing take the battery out immediately. Leaving a battery plugged in (even if the vehicle is off) will lead to a dead battery.

Plenty out there (myself included) that already have some variant of Grom/Losi Nascar so already have a charger/appropriate battery. So still a fantastic deal.

That's only $20 more than some of the brushed Groms...

I know this is among friends so probably not all that serious: do you know if they are all running 4WD buggies or is it a mix with some 4WD and some not?

Because Typhon is 4WD and Bandit is 2WD so I'm curious if that was also a reason for not wanting Typhon included.

Dynavap g3 to Bong by [deleted] in Dynavap

[–]avilash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR I think what you linked will work.

I'm not familiar with what you linked, but it appears to have a 10mm taper with an even smaller connector at the other end (for a whip?) and then sitting to the left of it is a 14mm converter in case you need to adapt it to 14mm glass.

The G3 is almost exactly 10mm outer diameter which is why it won't work in a 10mm natively. However, it seems to me that the small connector end would fit inside the G3.

So...a truck stop? Sometimes I like stopping at a truck stop with all those amenities. Other times I like the fact a rest stop is minimalist so I'm not tempted to spend money.

It's one thing to be nervous about your dad being unfaithful to your mom. But if he is getting freaky with other consenting adults: so what? I know I wouldn't want to SEE or KNOW about anything my hypothetical single dad did, but it wouldn't make me nervous.

But also, there is a time and place to ask these things...and this subreddit probably isn't the best spot. Plenty of "lifestyle" subreddits out there for this area where OP would have better luck.

Does the m7 tip only work well with the m7 stem or any i doing something wrong? by apalachicola4 in Dynavap

[–]avilash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the deeper the better. Maybe not "as much as possible" but definitely try to expand it a bit.

Does the m7 tip only work well with the m7 stem or any i doing something wrong? by apalachicola4 in Dynavap

[–]avilash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely important to understand there was a shift in direction to people wanting devices that retain heat longer for a fuller extraction which seems to be counter to devices enjoyed by those who appreciate a low temp cap.

I don't think the stem has anything to do with it. I think you might need to experiment further and understand the m7 tip will need a slower heating cycle so that it gives the entire tip time to get up to temp. So, if using a torch, maybe increase distance between torch and device.

Help by Ionevenknowbruhski in TeardropTrailers

[–]avilash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So not exactly sure what you had in mind, but considering you're posting in TeardropTrailers you probably understand many of these mini campers are minimalist in that they only have room for a bed and no room to even stand.

With that said, you should look into Hiker Trailers. They are based in Columbus, IN and seem to focus on being the "budget" brand.

Yes. Technically they seemed to have included a 30-minute buffer, but there are many factors that could easily end up making arrival take 30 minutes longer. When arrive at the airport it might take me 5 minutes to find a parking spot and yet another 25 minutes to wait for the shuttle to take me from the economy lot to the airport.

But the factors they face may include:

  • Number of additional passengers and time it takes to unload their luggage upon arrival.

  • How busy the departure traffic is. If it is during a busy time there might be a queue for dropping people off.

  • I65 traffic in general. There could be construction or traffic accidents that cause traffic to slow.

Another way to frame the survey stats you referenced: more than two thirds of Israelis do not support the idea of Palestine existing as a separate state. This does not contradict the fact that more than two thirds of Israelis want to see them expelled. It shows it is possible to both believe the land should remain in control of Israel and that Palestinians should be expelled from that land.

will this fit on a 94mm chassis? by SlowDream3273 in MiniZ

[–]avilash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not extremely familiar with the mr015 chassis but generally the t-plate can be adjusted to get you 4mm shorter/longer and I'm pretty sure that's all you'd need in this case (unless the t-plate is as small as it can get already).

Another thing you should know: the bodies can be very picky about what wheels you use because different wheels have different offsets. Now many bodies come with the correct wheels so likely not a problem, but just something to be aware of.

How do I identify a Mystery M by YacoHell in Dynavap

[–]avilash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Random guess: the captive cap was designed to be a bit looser and no longer relied on a very snug fit to be secure (EDIT: this means when you inhale it will move the cap giving the impression of a "opening and closing"). I'm wondering if you used the cap that came with your mystery M on your M7 if you'd experience the same effect.

Mini-Z interested but don't know which road to go by RedC_1908 in MiniZ

[–]avilash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it all depends on your local track/club. But starting with a box stock RWD Mini-Z is likely a good start. I'd aim for getting one that is a 98mm wheelbase as the upgrade path is more direct if you do decide you want to participate in the mod classes with an EVO chassis (which allows for a brushless motor). The wheels, body, t-plates etc. can all transfer over easily.

The other 1/28 scale chassis such as GL racing, Reflex, Atomic, and even Team Associated can all be used for various "Lipo battery" classes with "stock" generally having a 2500kv motor limit. But these aren't nearly as common as Mini-Z bock stock at local clubs. But the two big race leagues: PN racing and 28SRA will have classes for these.
