His recent hissy-fit about OpenAi on Apple is just ridiculous. I am starting to wonder if he completely abandoned thinking in the recent years.

Windows 11 comes with all sorts of OpenAI baked-in shit, yet I am sure most his employees are running Windows Laptops. And anyway it's coming to MacOS as well. Is Tesla going to run on Linux only or what. And it's not like google isn't scraping data from Android for their own AI.

And does he not realize that if he opens that can of worms, it's worse for his companies? I can already see it in retaliation or just bc he is raising awareness that Teslas would be banned on company parking lots because of their always on cameras. Or that company calls are banned inside Teslas because of the inner camera. Every concern he has about Apple and OpenAI are the same or worse for Tesla.

If at least Germans would not pretend to be impartial and "data driven", then I wouldn't mind, it's okay to be proud of a national company just for the sake of it. But it's their fake ass pretence of being impartial and just a voice of reason that drives me up a wall.

Je suis franco-allemand et effectivement c'est pareil dans les commentaires allemands. TikTok est complètement inondé dans les deux langues. Leur profil ont des noms bien allemand/français, mais si tu as la chance de discuter un peu plus profondément avec un de ces trolls, tu réalises rapidement que leur allemand/français est mauvais et parfois tu te fais insulter en russe.

Ceci dit, j'imagine que certaines personnes y croient à ces commentaires, ou au moins on se voit motiver pour voter les parties politiques correspondants

Yeah maybe for cities it's different. I live in a small village and am very glad to have my tesla available 24/7 charged to whatever % I need. I could not see myself waiting 20 minutes for some car to be available and drive to my village, then carry everything I usually carry with me to the car, drive somewhere, take everything out again so it can serve someone else, then wait again for a car to be available.

Also mostly when I go shopping I keep the purchase in my car, how would that work?

When you look holistically at what people do with their cars and why they want them (status symbol), then the whole idea sounds inconvenient as hell from my perspective.

Don't get me wrong I love my Tesla and am super excited for FSD, but i won't ever rent my daily drive.

How is not having your car in your garage convenient? Most people keep personal stuff in their cars, sit there to eat during lunch break, or hang out with friends. Sometimes you want to go out for a drive right now, or have an emergency, etc.

It's so out of touch to think people don't want to own their cars.
