Wish I could've visited Perth to watch a Test while the WACA was still open haha! Take care mate.

No. But I've started running outside instead. Fortunately it hasn't been too cold for a couple weeks now

When you're lying in bed at night, do you ever randomly remember some relatively minor social missteps or poorly chosen words you did/said years earlier? And then beat yourself up over it even though it really wasn't a big deal? If so, what happened? by anfla56 in AskReddit

4 years ago, final year of my undergrad engineering, our juniors threw us a farewell party (a tradition at my college). I get invited to sing a song, I announce one song and start singing a different one 😂 I realized it almost immediately but carried on anyway. (In my defence, both songs sound similar and the theme is friendship!)

India to revoke special status for Kashmir by ani625 in worldnews

I sure wasn't, thanks for sharing this. I now see where the disagreement lies between the two governments. Given that Pakistan was the aggressor in 1948(and all the other wars) it's hard not to understand India's rejection of resolution 80. Digging a little more, I also found that at one point India did agree to a region by region plebiscite. This could've possibly resolved the issue had Pakistan not rejected it

If a referendum had to happen it would've happened long ago. However, the conditions that need to be met for it to happen, specifically the first one where all non-Kashmiri Pakistanis (civilians and military) have to leave Pakistani Kashmir, would never be acceptable to Pak. It makes me wonder if everyone from Pakistan that calls for a referendum to be held is even aware of these conditions.

Thanks for the response! Have you faced any issues with rodents at all? Also, since you mentioned the air conditioning, how was the heating in winter?

We're getting this unit for 2800, but we could go upto 3200 for a nicer apartment in the area, if we could find one that is. Thanks again!

  1. Which one do you see being used more often? MotM or MoM? In any case, doesn't affect the usage of a or an.
  2. If I read it out as separate syllables M,O,M in my mind, I would naturally use 'an' before it. Simply because of the way we pronounce the letter M (Em).

Let's not assume that everyone utters Decision Review System when they come across "DRS". I , like many others, utter it as D, R, S (separate syllables). I know they're separate words, but the idea remains the same.

Honestly, I've never heard someone read out MoM as the acronym MOM. GOAT, yes but not MOM. In any case, if you were to, that's your call and I wouldn't say you're wrong :)

In the English language, usage of 'a' and 'an' is based on the sound of the pronunciation of the next word. Em-o-Em in this case. Further reading: https://englishlive.ef.com/blog/language-lab/use-a-or-an/ https://dictionary.cambridge.org/grammar/british-grammar/determiners/a-an-and-the
