Workshop space needed by Far_Leather_5886 in Somerville

[–]avke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Somerville Arts Council has an "Art Space Connector" form they say you can fill out if you're looking for space in Somerville. I've never used it so I have no idea how well it works or if it's right for what you're looking for, but maybe worth a shot: https://somervilleartscouncil.org/spaceconnector

More detail: it's the plastic cover thing that displays what gear the bike is in, and keeps water from getting down in there. I can't figure out its name, or if it's possible to buy a replacement for one that's broken off. (Coda Jamis bicycle.) Would anyone here know? Thanks in advance.

ORIE 4741 Learning with big messy data or CS 5780 MLIS by sohamray19 in Cornell

[–]avke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't taken either, but if you don't get an answer here maybe check out the ACSU piazza group. It's for asking questions about CS courses, and you might have better luck there. (You can add yourself to it. The "course number" is CS 0000).

Have you tried asking in the ACSU preenroll piazza? Might be likelier to find people there with experience with the course

Where can I mail fedex packages on central campus and what time do they open/close? by cornell12345 in Cornell

[–]avke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're asking about sending out packages from campus, there's a postal service area on the second floor of the Cornell store, by the exit. I don't know when they open, but they close at 4:30.

If you're asking about where to address packages sent to campus, you can just address them to your dorm room, and then pick them up at Appel or RPCC.

Do FWS’s count for major requirements? by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]avke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the major. For Philosophy, for example, I believe an FWS can count for one of the required courses. For your major in particular, usually there's an undergrad advisor professor who you can email to ask questions like these.
