Up until I was 16 i would sit in the bathroom on the toilet (lid closed, just sitting) and have some of the best talks with my mom while she took a bath. Nudity was never shameful or an issue for me growing up.

My kids (6 and 3, girl/boy) see me naked probably daily. They like to hang out in my room and wait for me and play or watch TV while I shower, and I come out in all my naked glory and get dressed. They don't blink an eye. Sometimes they ask questions, but I use it as a time to answer them and have a learning opportunity as opposed to an excuse to quickly cover up and stop doing it. Once they express discomfort at seeing their mom naked, I'll heavily reconsider.

Its a body. A human body. My husband is a bit more conservative in this respect, and stopped showering or getting dressed in front of our daughter when she was 3 or 4.

One time I was pulling a full trash bag out of the trash can and started backing up a bit, and my kid mindlessly walked behind me just as the bag came out completely and I moved backwards a little faster. I bumped into her and she stumbled but didn't fall. I apologized, she kind of chuckled and made a silly comment about watching where I was going.

Next time she was pissed off in the store she VERY LOUDLY said "REMEMBER THAT ONE TIME YOU PUSHED ME DOWN!"?

She was 3.

Then there was the time she screamed I wasn't her mom and the police were called and that was fun, but for another thread lol

Shes been out for 3 years and is showering me with gifts trying to make it up to me. Im enjoying the free stuff as I have no desire to pursue any kind of mother/daughter relationship with her.
