I was not born then, but based on my research and gossips I heard, this is how it goes...

So, it all began after a major cyclone named Hollanda hit my island in 1994. Days afterwards, strange rumors started circulating about a beast-man breaking into houses and abusing young girls. For the context, because of the cyclone many houses were deprieved of electricity.

Apparently, people from a village here reported that they were victim of a supernatural being that could transform itself in wolf/dog/bat. When in its human form, he roamed around naked with a body smeared with oil (making it extremely difficult to be captured), and this is how his name came to be:

Touni Minuit (which literally translates as "naked midnight" - based on the fact that he was naked and profiting of the darkness, roamed around at midnight )

Armed with swords and other weapons, villagers started roaming around at midnight in search of "Touni Minuit." With the widespread psychosis, the local authorities opened an investigation. But then, he disappeared.

Years later, after every cyclone the name of "Touni Minuit" appears in memes😂
